Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pandangan guru tentang penggunaan game interaktif PBS Kids dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu lembaga PAUD di Kota Cirebon. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan empat guru PAUD dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki pandangan positif terhadap game PBS Kids, karena game ini dapat meningkatkan antusiasme dan motivasi belajar anak. Game ini dianggap sebagai pelengkap metode pembelajaran konvensional yang mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan pengembangan motorik kasar, durasi penggunaan yang tidak mencukupi, ketergantungan pada koneksi internet yang stabil, serta kekhawatiran tentang screen time berlebih. Sebagai solusi, guru menyarankan pengelolaan waktu yang lebih baik, keseimbangan antara teknologi dan aktivitas fisik, serta pendampingan aktif selama bermain game. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan anak usia dini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keterlibatan siswa, dan pemahaman konsep. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak game edukasi pada berbagai aspek perkembangan anak serta penerapannya di berbagai wilayah. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan berbasis teknologi yang inklusif dan efektif.
This study aims to analyse teachers' perspectives on the use of PBS Kids interactive games in early childhood education. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach at a PAUD institution in Cirebon. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with four early childhood teachers and analysed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that teachers view PBS Kids games positively as they enhance children’s enthusiasm and motivation for learning. These games are considered complementary to conventional teaching methods, creating a more interactive and engaging learning environment. However, challenges such as limited gross motor skill development, insufficient usage time, reliance on stable internet connections, and concerns over excessive screen time were identified. Teachers proposed solutions such as better time management, balancing technology use with physical activities, and active supervision during gameplay. This study highlights the importance of integrating technology into early childhood education to improve learning motivation, student engagement, and concept comprehension. Future research is recommended to explore the impact of educational games on various aspects of child development and their implementation across different regional contexts. The findings contribute significantly to developing inclusive and effective technology-based educational policies for early childhood education.
