Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI-G SMAN 1 Cisarua. Padahal, kemampuan literasi baca-tulis merupakan fondasi dalam mengembangkan keterampilan hidup di abad ke-21. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan strategi RADEC bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa melalui tiga siklus penelitian dengan total dua belas tindakan, menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas desain John Elliot yang mencakup identifikasi masalah, menyusun rencana umum, langkah-langkah tindakan 1 hingga 4, monitor implementasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus penelitian, yang tampak dari perolehan nilai setiap kelompok berdasarkan beberapa indikator yang telah ditetapkan, yaitu mengumpulkan, mengolah, dan menginterpretasi informasi, serta menulis pengalaman historis. Pada siklus pertama, perolehan skor kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa mencapai 76,3%. Kemudian, pada siklus kedua terdapat peningkatan positif dibandingkan siklus sebelumnya, dengan perolehan skor mencapai 88,8%. Pada siklus ketiga, semua kelompok berhasil memenuhi indikator secara optimal dengan memperoleh skor 100%. Besaran persentase yang diperoleh semua kelompok pada siklus 1, 2, dan 3 menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Meskipun demikian, dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan strategi RADEC ini, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh peneliti. Namun, kendala-kendala tersebut dapat teratasi berkat kerja sama yang baik antara peneliti dengan mitra. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi RADEC dalam pembelajaran sejarah efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi menulis pengalaman historis siswa di kelas XI-G SMAN 1 Cisarua. This research was motivated by the low literacy ability of writing historical experiences of students in history learning in class XI-G SMAN 1 Cisarua. In fact, literacy is the foundation for developing life skills in the 21st century. The implementation of history learning by applying the RADEC strategy aims to improve students' literacy ability to write historical experiences through three research cycles with a total of twelve actions, using the John Elliot design class action research method which includes problem identification, drafting a general plan, action steps 1 to 4, implementation monitor, and reflection. The results of this study show that students' literacy ability to write historical experiences has increased in each research cycle, which can be seen from the acquisition of scores for each group based on several indicators that have been set, namely collecting, processing, and interpreting information, as well as writing historical experiences. In the first cycle, the acquisition of students' historical experience writing literacy scores reached 76.3%. Then, in the second cycle, there was a positive increase compared to the previous cycle, with a score of 88.8%. In the third cycle, all groups managed to meet the indicators optimally by obtaining a score of 100%. The percentage obtained by all groups in cycles 1, 2, and 3 shows that students' literacy ability to write historical experiences is included in the good category. However, in the implementation of history learning by applying this RADEC strategy, there are several obstacles faced by researchers. However, these obstacles can be overcome thanks to good cooperation between researchers and partners. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the RADEC strategy in history learning is effective in improving students' literacy ability to write historical experiences in class XI-G SMAN 1 Cisarua.
