Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan pentingnya pendidikan karakter sejak usia dini salah satunya karakter disiplin. Namun pada Kelompok A KOBER Miftahul Falah Siti Maryam karakter disiplin belum berkembang secara optimal. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ditemui peneliti berencana untuk menerapkan metode pembiasaan dalam membina karakter disiplin anak sehingga anak senantiasa berperilaku disiplin dalam kegiatan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin melalui metode pembiasaan, sehingga peneliti dapat mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, serta mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode pembiasaan untuk meningkatkan karakter disiplin anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan anak Kelompok A KOBER Miftahul Falah Siti Maryam berjumlah 15 anak yang terdiri dari 7 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode pembiasaan dapat meningkatkan karakter disiplin anak. Aspek karakter disiplin anak disekolah memiliki tiga indikator diantarnya; (1) kehadiran anak; (2) pelaksanaan tata tertib; dan (3) sikap anak di kelas. Karakter disiplin anak meningkat pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I memperoleh hasil 50% dengan kategori cukup. Kemudian pada siklus II memperoleh hasil 77,9% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini penggunaan metode pembiasaan dapat membantu meningkatkan karakter disiplin anak usia dini. This research is motivated by the importance of character education from an early age, one of which is discipline. However, in Group A KOBER Miftahul Falah Siti Maryam's disciplined character has not developed optimally. Based on the problems encountered, the researcher plans to apply the habituation method to develop children's disciplined character so that children always behave disciplined in activities. The aim of this research is to improve discipline character through habituation methods, so that researchers can describe teachers' abilities in planning learning, describe teachers' abilities in implementing learning, and describe the use of habituation methods to improve children's discipline character. The research method used is Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subjects in this research were 15 children from Group A KOBER Miftahul Falah Siti Maryam, consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls. The research results show that the use of habituation methods can improve children's disciplined character. The aspect of children's discipline character at school has three indicators, namely; (1) presence of children; (2) implementation of regulations; and (3) the child's attitude in class. Children's disciplined character improves with each cycle. In cycle I, the results were 50% in the sufficient category. Then in cycle II the results were 77.9% in the very good category. Based on the results of this research, the use of habituation methods can help improve the disciplinary character of early childhood.
