Abstract

Perilaku merokok merupakan salah satu bentuk perilaku manusia yang dapat diamati karena memiliki faktor yang menyebabkan seseorang melakukannya. Siswa yang berstatus sebagai perokok memiliki ketidakmampuan dalam mengendalikan faktor risiko dan memahami faktor protektif yang kemudian meningkatkan kemungkinan keterlibatan siswa dalam perilaku merokok. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana faktor risiko dapat mempengaruhi siswa untuk merokok serta bagaimana faktor protektif mempengaruhi siswa untuk berhenti merokok. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus deskriptif. Dalam menentukan subjek penelitian, peneliti menggunakan angket Algorithm of Smoking Stages untuk mengetahui tingkat merokok masing-masing siswa dan memilih tiga siswa dengan tingkatan contempleation, preparation, dan action. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan pemasaran yang memiliki riwayat sebagai perokok. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan faktor risiko yang dimiliki oleh ketiga siswa berasal dari faktor yang sama yaitu pengaruh teman sebaya serta faktor protektif yang dimiliki oleh ketiga siswa berasal dari faktor orientasi positif terhadap kesehatan dan faktor keterlibatan dalam kegiatan prososial. Rekomendasi penelitian ini ditujukan kepada guru BK/Konselor untuk memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat meningkatkan faktor protektif siswa. Smoking behavior is a form of human behavior that can be observed because it has factors that cause someone to do it. Students who are smokers have an inability to control risk factors and understand protective factors which then increases the possibility of student involvement in smoking behavior. The aim of this research is to find out how risk factors can influence students to smoke and how protective factors influence students to stop smoking. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive case study method. In determining research subjects, researchers used the Algorithm of Smoking Stages questionnaire to determine the level of smoking of each student and selected three students with levels of contempleation, preparation, and action. The subjects in this research were class XI students majoring in marketing who had a history of smoking. The findings of this research show that the risk factors possessed by the three students come from the same factors, namely the influence of peers and the protective factors possessed by the three students come from positive orientation factors towards health and involvement factors in prosocial activities. This research recommendation is aimed at guidance and counseling teachers/counselors to provide guidance and counseling services that can increase students' protective factors.
