Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kemampuan menulis cerita imajinasi yang rendah pada peserta didik di sekolah dasar dan ketersediaan model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita imajinasi di dunia pendidikan masih tergolong sangat minim. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan model penemuan terbimbing berbasis etnoliterasi dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita imajinasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis Research and Development (R&D) dengan 4 tahapan yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan awal peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita imajinasi perlu perbaikan dalam aspek menyusun alur cerita, penggambaran tokoh dan penokohan, penggunaan gaya bahasa, penyisipan amanat cerita, penulisan cerita dari segi organisasi dan struktur teks, penggunaan ejaan, dan kerapian tulisan. Proses pengembangan model penemuan terbimbing berbasis etnoliterasi ini memperoleh validasi dari ahli bahasa dan ahli budaya pada kategori sangat baik dan berdasarkan penilaian praktisi berada pada kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas, kelas yang menggunakan model penemuan terbimbing berbasis etnoliterasi memiliki rata-rata kemampuan menulis cerita imajinasi yang lebih baik. Model penemuan terbimbing berbasis etnoliterasi diharapkan mampu menjadi salah alternatif solusi dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita imajinasi di sekolah dasar. This research was motivated by the low ability to write imaginative stories in elementary school students and the availability of learning models that can improve the ability to write imaginative stories in the world of education is still very minimal. This research aims to develop an Ethnoliteracy-based guided discovery learning model for learning to write imaginative stories. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The subjects of this research were fifth-grade elementary school students. Based on the research results, students' initial abilities in learning to write imaginative stories need improvement in the aspects of composing storylines, character depiction and characterization, use of language style, insertion of story messages, story writing in terms of organization and text structure, use of spelling, and neatness of writing. Developing an ethnoliteracy-based guided discovery model received validation from linguists and cultural experts in the very good category. Based on practitioners' assessments it was in the very practical category. Based on the results of the effectiveness test, classes that use the ethnoliteracy-based guided discovery model have a better average ability to write imaginative stories. It is hoped that the guided discovery model based on ethnoliteracy can be an alternative solution to learning to write imaginative stories in elementary schools.
