Abstract
Kemajuan teknologi berdampak positif dan negatif pada karakter generasi muda penerus bangsa. Agar nilai-nilai budaya lokal tetap kukuh, maka perlu ditanamkan rasa cinta pada generasi muda terhadap kebudayaan lokal. Salah satu budaya lokal di desa Teunbaun Amarasi Barat Kabupaten Kupang adalah tradisi menenun tenun ikat. Masyarakat adat Amarasi memiliki ragam hias serta motif yang berbeda-beda. Keragaman tenun ikat Amarasi bukan hanya sebatas kreasi seni, tetapi pembuatan tenun ini juga menyimbolkan nilai kehidupan, nilai religi, nilai sosial. Tenun ikat Amarasi mengandung nilai filosofis, yang penggunaannya diperuntukan bagi hal–hal yang berkaitan dengan adat dan budaya serta tradisi hingga sampai saat ini. Salah satu upaya yang dapat ditempuh di sekolah adalah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran IPS di SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tenun ikat Amarasi. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi dan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian etnografi berlangsung pada nilai kearifan lokal tenun ikat Amarasi di Desa Teunbaun Amarasi Barat Kabupaten Kupang Nusa Tenggara Timur dan penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan di SD Negeri Oerantium Amarasi Barat. Penelitian etnografi menghasilkan nilai kearifan lokal yaitu nilai religius, nilai tanggungjawab, nilai cinta tanah air dan nilai peduli lingkungan. Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tersebut diimplementasikan melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemis dan Taggart. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Penelitian etnografis mendefenisikan nilai-nilai sebagai pedoman dalam bertindak dan bertingkah laku seperti nilai religi, nilai tanggung jawab, nilai cinta tanah air dan nilai peduli lingkungan. (2) Penilitian Tindakan Kelas telah berhasil mengintegrasikan dan dengan kegiatan kunjungan lapangan dan internalisasi nilai dalam proses pembelajaran. Integrasi pembelajaran tersebut dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi pembentukan karakter peserta didik agar memiliki identitas diri yang kuat dan membentuk peserta didik sebagai generasi muda yang bangga dan cinta terhadap warisan budayanya. The advancement of technology has both positive and negative impacts on the character of the younger generation, the future successors of the nation. To ensure that local cultural values remain strong, it is essential to instill a love for local culture in the younger generation. One of the local cultures in Teunbaun Village, West Amarasi, Kupang Regency is the tradition of weaving ikat. The Amarasi indigenous people have various decorations and motifs. The diversity of Amarasi ikat weaving is not just limited to artistic creations, but its production also symbolizes life values, religious values, and social values. Amarasi ikat weaving contains philosophical values, which are intended for matters related to customs, culture, and traditions today. One of the efforts that can be made in schools is integrating local wisdom values into the Social Studies learning process in elementary schools. This research aims to explore the local wisdom values of Amarasi ikat weaving. The study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods and classroom action research (CAR). The ethnographic research was conducted on the local wisdom values of Amarasi ikat weaving in Teunbaun Village, West Amarasi, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, and the classroom action research was conducted at Oerantium State Elementary School, West Amarasi. The ethnographic research resulted in local wisdom values such as religious values, responsibility values, patriotism values, and environmental care values. These local wisdom values were implemented through the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model by Kemmis and Taggart. The study results show that (1) Ethnographic research defines values as guidelines for acting and behaving, such as religious values, responsibility values, patriotism values, and environmental care values. (2) Classroom Action Research successfully integrated these values with field visits and internalized the values in the learning process. This integration in learning can have a positive impact on shaping the character of students to have a strong self-identity and form students as a younger generation who are proud of and love their cultural heritage.
