Abstract

Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak-anak di Indonesia cukup tinggi, dengan prevalensi sebesar 10,4% pada kelompok usia 1-4 tahun dan 28,9% pada kelompok usia 5-9 tahun. Meskipun penyuluhan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan gigi telah dilakukan kepada anak usia dini, efektivitasnya masih kurang optimal karena frekuensi yang tidak teratur, sehingga sulit membentuk kebiasaan pada anak. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengembangkan media edukasi berupa buku ilustrasi interaktif yang menarik bagi anak-anak guna membantu mereka mempelajari cara merawat kesehatan gigi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian ahli media memberikan skor 93% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak,” dan respon siswa terhadap media ini juga memperoleh skor 93% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak.” Dengan demikian, buku ilustrasi interaktif "Petualangan Ke Negeri Gigi Pintar" yang dirancang dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan berhasil dan layak digunakan sebagai media edukasi untuk anak usia dini. Bagi penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengembangkan buku ilustrasi dengan fitur interaktif yang lebih menarik dan efisien di masa mendatang serta kembangkan buku ilustrasi interaktif dalam beberapa bahasa untuk menjangkau cakupan yang lebih luas. ----------- The proportion of oral health issues among children in Indonesia is quite high, with a prevalence of 10.4% in the 1-4 year age group and 28.9% in the 5-9 year age group. Although educational outreach on the importance of maintaining oral health and hygiene has been conducted for young children, its effectiveness remains suboptimal due to irregular frequency, making it difficult to establish habits in children. To address this issue, this study developed an interactive illustration book as an engaging educational media for children to help them learn about oral health care. The research employed the ADDIE method, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results indicate that media experts rated the book with a score of 93% with the criterion "Very Feasible," and student responses to the media also received a score of 93% with the criterion "Very Feasible." Therefore, the interactive illustration book "Adventure To The Country Of Smart Teeth" designed in this study is deemed successful and suitable as an educational media for young children. For future research, it is recommended to develop interactive illustration books with more engaging and efficient features, as well as to expand the book into multiple languages to reach a broader audience.
