Abstract
Globalisasi membawa berbagai budaya ke Indonesia, salah satunya yaitu tren cosplay. Meroketnya tren tersebut secara tidak langsung disebabkan oleh tereksposnya masyarakat terhadap medium anime lewat media streaming seperti Netflix. Hal tersebut meningkatkan ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap anime dan cosplay. Meningkatnya tren cosplay mendorong bisnis penyewaan kostum sebagai alternatif untuk melakukan cosplay dikarenakan harga kostum yang kurang terjangkau bagi masyarakat luas. Namun para peminat cosplay menemukan kesulitan dalam mencari suatu kostum yang diinginkan. Wawancara dan survei awal dengan beberapa pelaku rental kostum dan penyewa kostum menyebutkan bahwa sebuah platform untuk mencari informasi dan melakukan transaksi mengenai penyewaan kostum dapat membantu kegiatan rental kostum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan perancangan dan pengembangan sebuah platform untuk penyewaan kostum cosplay berbasis aplikasi mobile bernama Costurent. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan model waterfall. Model tersebut terdiri dari enam tahapan, yaitu requirements gathering and analysis, design, implementation, integration & testing, deployment, dan maintenance. Tahap testing terbagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu pengujian alpha menggunakan metode black box dengan teknik test case, pengujian beta dengan validasi oleh dua ahli media menggunakan metode usabilitas Nielsen, dan user acceptance testing dengan metode System Usability Scale. Hasil dari pengujian alpha dan beta menyatakan aplikasi mobile Costurent termasuk pada kategori cukup layak. Hasil dari user acceptance testing menyebutkan bahwa Costurent termasuk pada kategori Acceptable. ------- Globalization brought many kinds of cultures to Indonesia, one of them is the cosplay uptrend. That uptrend is indirectly caused by exposure of anime to people through streaming media such as Netflix. That event increased people’s interest in anime and cosplay. The ever-increasingly cosplay trend drove costume-renting business as alternative to doing cosplays because the price of costumes isn’t too affordable for the masses. But cosplayers found difficulties in searching for a specific costume. Interviews and preliminary survey with rental owners and their customers found that a platform to find information and do rental transactions in could help in renting a costume. The purpose of this research is to design a mobile application-based platform for costume rental called “Costurent”. This research used System Development Life Cycle method with waterfall model. The model consists of six phases, which are requirements gathering and analysis, design, implementation, integration & testing, deployment, dan maintenance. The testing phase is split into three parts, those are alpha testing using blackbox testing method with test case model, beta testing with validation using Nielsen usability testing by two experts, and user acceptance testing using System Usability Scale method. The alpha and beta testing declared Costurent as moderately suitable. The user acceptance testing declared Costurent as Acceptable. Keywords: Cosplay, Platform, mobile application
