Abstract
Rendahnya keterampilan menyimak siswa, menjadi latar belakang penelitian, sementaran keterampilan menyimak sangat penting sebagai keterampilan abad XXI yakni berkomunikasi. Selain itu, kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, membuat keterampilan menyimak siswa semakin kurang terlatih. Dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, cerita fiksi mitos dianggap banyak membawa berpengaruh negatif bagi siswa. Padahal isi cerita mitos dapat dimaknai secara logis dan ilmiah sebagai fakta kehidupan manusia. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penggunaan media pada pembelajaran cerita fiksi berupa mitos sebagai upaya mengembangkan pelaksanaan pembelajaraan untuk keterampilan menyimak siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Design and Development dengan model Richey & Klein menggunakan model Product & Tool Research tipe Tool Development & Use. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari analysis, design, development, dan evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, angket, kuesioner, dan tes dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif, statistik deskriptif, dan uji t. Hasil uji kelayakan media shadow box pada materi cerita fiksi mitos oleh validator bahasa dan materi diperoleh skor 95,83% dan hasil uji kelayakan media shadow box oleh ahli media diperoleh skor 93,75% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Respons uji coba penggunaan media shadow box pada guru kelas V diperoleh skor 100% dan siswa diperoleh skor 92,11% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Pengujian media ini diperoleh rata-rata pretest 35,25 dan posttest 83,65 serta hasil signifikansi uji paired samples t-test yaitu < 0,001. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas V sekolah dasar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media shadow box pada pembelajaran cerita fiksi mitos nusantara. --------------- The low listening skills of students are the background of the research, while listening skills are very important as a 21st century skill, namely communication. In addition, the lack of use of learning media makes students' listening skills even less trained. In Indonesian language learning, mythical fiction stories are considered to have a lot of negative effects on students. Whereas the contents of mythical stories can be interpreted logically and scientifically as facts of human life. Therefore, this study aims to develop the use of media in learning fiction stories in the form of myths as an effort to develop the implementation of learning for students' listening skills. This research method uses Design and Development with the Richey & Klein model using the Product & Tool Research type Tool Development & Use model. The research procedure consists of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Data collection techniques used interviews, questionnaires, questionnaires, and tests using qualitative data analysis, descriptive statistics, and t tests. The results of the feasibility test of shadow box media on mythical fiction material by language and material validators obtained a score of 95.83% and the results of the feasibility test of shadow box media by media experts obtained a score of 93.75% with the criteria “Very Feasible”. The response to the trial use of shadow box media on grade V teachers obtained a score of 100% and students obtained a score of 92.11% with the criteria “Very Good”. This media testing obtained an average pretest of 35.25 and posttest of 83.65 and the significance results of the paired samples t-test test were <0.001. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are differences in listening skills of grade V elementary school students before and after the use of shadow box media in learning mythical fiction stories of the archipelago.
