Abstract

Keterampilan matematika sangat penting dimiliki oleh setiap siswa, karena keterampilan ini berperan penting dalam kehidupan siswa di masa mendatang. Untuk memiliki keterampilan matematika yang baik diperlukan kegiatan yang di dalamnya terkandung penerapan konsep matematika seperti melakukan praktik home numeracy di rumah, sebab keluarga menjadi tempat pendidikan pertama, utama dan terdekat dengan anak, maka sudah menjadi tugas orang tua untuk menyediakan lingkungan belajar dan memberikan keyakinan penuh untuk mendukung pendidikan anak. Melalui penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara praktik home numeracy dengan keterampilan matematika siswa sekolah dasar kelas II SDN di Gugus Krida Samekta Kecamatan Maos sebanyak 91 orang siswa dan orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode korelasional. Hasil olah data mengenai praktik home numeracy baik informal, basic, atau advanced di Gugus Krida Samekta kategori terbanyak untuk praktik informal kurang berjumlah 45%, praktik formal basic paling banyak kategori kurang jumlahnya 25% dan praktik formal advanced paling banyak kategori sangat kurang sebesar 53%. Keterampilan matematika siswa kelas II di Gugus Krida Samekta paling banyak kategori sangat tinggi sebesar 48%. Uji hipotesis yang dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,030 < 0,05 artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan nilai korelasi pearson sebesar 0,227 tingkat korelasi rendah untuk praktik home numeracy informal, sedangkan untuk praktik formal basic dan advanced menghasilkan hubungan yang tidak signifikan yakni nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,637 > 0,05 dengan nilai korelasi pearson 0,050 untuk praktik formal basic. Untuk praktik formal advanced diperoleh nilai signifikansi sig (2-tailed) 0,091 > 0,05 dengan nilai korelasi pearson sebesar -0,178. Mathematics skills are very important for every student to have, because these skills play an important role in students' future lives. To have good mathematical skills, activities are needed which include the application of mathematical concepts, such as practicing home numeracy at home, because the family is the first, main and closest place of education to children, so it is the parents' duty to provide a learning environment and provide full confidence. to support children's education. This research aims to investigate the relationship between home numeracy practices and the mathematics skills of elementary school students in class II of SDN in Gugus Krida Samekta, Maos District, a total of 91 students and their parents. This research uses a quantitative correlational method approach. The results of data processing regarding home numeracy practices, whether informal, basic or advanced in the Krida Samekta Cluster, the highest category for informal practice is less, amounting to 45%, the highest formal basic practice is in the less than 25% category and the highest formal advanced practice is in the very poor category at 53% . The mathematics skills of class II students in the Krida Samekta Cluster are in the very high category at 48%. Hypothesis testing was carried out using a correlation test with a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.030 < 0.05, meaning there is a significant relationship with a Pearson correlation value of 0.227. The correlation level is low for informal home numeracy practices, while for formal basic and advanced practices it produces an insignificant relationship, namely a sig value (2-tailed). 0.637 > 0.05 with a Pearson correlation value of 0.050 for basic formal practice. For advanced formal practice, a sig (2-tailed) significance value of 0.091 > 0.05 was obtained with a Pearson correlation value of -0.178.
