Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu dikarenakan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kamojing. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menerapkan model kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media visual pop-up book pada pembelajaran IPS kelas V. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS dan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar IPS siswa setelah dilakukannya penerapan model kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media visual pop-up book pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Kamojing I. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus dengan langkah-langkahnya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi dan melalui tes pada setiap akhir siklusnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, penerapan model kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media visual pop-up book yang dilaksanakan terdapat peningkatan pada hasil observasi aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kamojing I mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I rata-rata nilai kelas sebesar 66,4 dan pada siklus II sebesar 83,5. Peningkatan hasil belajar yang didapat pada siklus II dari siklus I sebesar 17,1. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan tindakan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan media visual pop-up book dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kamojing I, Kecamatan Cikampek. ----- The background of this research is due to the low learning outcomes of the students of the V grade of SD Negeri Kamojing I. Therefore, the researchers applied the cooperative model type STAD assisted visual media pop-up book on the learning of Social Science at student grade V at SD Negeri Kamojing I. The purpose of this research is to know the activity of students in the learning of Social Science and to find out the learning results of students IPS after it is done. Based on the results of the research carried out, the application of the cooperative model type STAD assisted visual media pop-up book implemented there was an improvement in the observation of the activity of students and the learning results of students of grade V SD Negeri Kamojing I experienced improvement, in the cycle I the average grade rating was 66.4 and in cycle II was 83.5. The improvement of learning results obtained in the Cycle II of the cycles I by 17.1. This showed that after given action using cooperative models STAD supported by visual media Pop-up Book can improve the learning outcome of the IPS students of the class V SD Negeri Kamojing I, Kecamatan Cikampek.
