Abstract

Pembelajaran IPS dipandang kurang membuat peserta didik aktif karena pembelajaran yang monoton dan tidak inovatif, hal tersebut mengakibatkan kurangnya antusias dalam belajar sehingga pemahaman konsep IPS rendah sedangkan peserta didik memiliki gaya belajar yang beragam dan dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang dapat melayani semua gaya belajar. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan menerapkan model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) berbantuan Virtual Reality pada pembelajaran IPS. Peneliti tertarik melaksanakan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan pengaruh dua perlakuan pada kelompok yang berbeda. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) berbantuan Virtual Reality dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group dan teknik purposive sampling. Terdapat dua data yang dikumpulkan dan dianalisis yaitu Pre-test dan Post-test serta non tes yaitu dokumentasi. Hasil akhir penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dan pengaruh pemahaman konsep IPS dengan model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) berbantuan Virtual Reality lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. ----- Social studies learning is seen as less active for students because of monotonous and non-innovative learning, this results in a lack of enthusiasm for learning so that the understanding of social studies concepts is low while students have diverse learning styles and need a learning model that can serve all learning styles. One of the efforts that can be made is to apply the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Virtual Reality to social studies learning. Researchers are interested in conducting research to determine the improvement and influence of two treatments in different groups. The experimental group used the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Virtual Reality and the control group used conventional learning. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique. There are two data collected and analyzed, namely Pre-test, Post-test and non-test, namely documentation. The final results of the study show that the improvement and influence of understanding the concept of social studies with the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Virtual Reality is better than conventional learning.
