Abstract

Dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Daerah atau RPJP Kota
Cimahi Tahun 2005-2025 disebutkan bahwa permasalahan yang terdapat di Kota
Cimahi salah satunya adalah aspek pendidikan. Jumlah sekolah harus
menyesuaikan jumlah penduduk tersebut serta ketersediaan sekolah berdasarkan
prediksi pertumbuhan penduduk Indonesia. Untuk mempersiapkan Indonesia Emas
Tahun 2045, perlu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap ketersediaan sarana pendidikan saat
ini. Jumlah sarana pendidikan yang ada mungkin tidak mencukupi untuk melayani
pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk yang diharapkan pada tahun 2045. Oleh karena itu,
diperlukan penelitian yang cermat untuk memastikan bahwa sarana pendidikan
dapat memenuhi kebutuhan penduduk yang semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan dan keterjangkauan SMP Negeri di Kota
Cimahi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan
pendekatan deskriptif. Daya tampung SMP Negeri di Kota Cimahi mencapai 51,8%
sehingga menampung setengah dari penduduk yang berusia 13-15 tahun. Seluruh
SMP Negeri memiliki lokasi yang dekat dengan pemukiman serta jalan utama
sehingga memberikan kemudahan akses bagi siswa untuk mencapai sekolah dari
lingkungan tempat tinggal mereka. Daya dukung kebutuhan SMP Negeri di Kota
Cimahi pada tahun 2045 direkomendasikan menambah 4 sarana pendidikan
(sekolah) yaitu kelurahan Cibabat, Cibeureum, Leuwigajah, dan Melong.
In the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJP) of Cimahi City in 2005-
2025, it is mentioned that one of the problems in Cimahi City is education. The
number of schools must adjust the population and the availability of schools based
on predictions of Indonesia's population growth. To prepare for the Indonesia
Emas 2045, it is necessary to evaluate the availability of current educational
facilities. The number of existing educational facilities may not be sufficient to serve
the expected population growth in 2045. Therefore, careful research is needed to
ensure that education facilities can meet the needs of the increasing population.
This study aims to analyze the availability and affordability of public junior high
schools in Cimahi City. The method used in this research is quantitative with a
descriptive approach. The capacity of public junior high schools in Cimahi City
reached 51.8%, accommodating half of the population aged 13-15 years. All public
junior high schools are located close to residential areas and main roads, providing
easy access for students to reach the school from their neighborhood. The carrying
capacity of public junior high schools in Cimahi City in 2045 is recommended to
add 4 educational facilities (schools) in Cibabat, Cibeureum, Leuwigajah, and
Melong villages.
