Abstract
This study, entitled "Sociological Study of Character and Values in the Novel About Corruption and Utilization as Subjects in high school". The problems in this study is formulated as follows. 1) How does the sociological description is based on the elements and structure of the novel Orang-Orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari, Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Sebuah Novel 86 by Okki Madasari ?; 2) The values contained a wildcard character in the novel Orang-orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari, Korupsi works of Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Sebuah novel 86 works Okki Madasari ?; 3) How to package the results of sociological studies and the value character of the novel's Oranf-orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari, Korupsi works of Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Sebuah novel 86 Okki Madasari work as teaching materials appreciation of literature in high school? This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach to content analysis. The research data was obtained through the study documentation or study literature (library research) to describe the sociological literature that are based on the elements and structure of literature texts, and the value of the character. As for the source of the data in this study is novel Orang-Orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari, Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Sebuah Novel 86 by Okki Madasari work. This study determined the data source using the Sampling based goals (purposive sampling) or the internal or Sampling based criteria (internal sampling / sampling criterion base). After analyzing the data, the novel Orang-Orang Proyek by Ahmad Tohari, Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Sebuah Novel 86 by Okki Madasari contain elements intrinsic, social aspects, and the value of the characters contained in it, as well as a novel about corruption can be implemented as instructional materials in teaching literature at the high school level. Social aspects and character values are integrated in the application of innovative lesson plan and attractive as a form of deepening, strengthening, and empowerment in character education.
