Abstract

Pelaksanaan evaluasi merupakan salah satu aspek esensial untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Evaluasi tidak berfokus hanya pada hasil dari pembelajaram, tetapi juga harus pada perencanaan dan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap implementasi project based learning pada pembelajaran biologi kurikulum merdeka, selain itu juga untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan dari pelaksanaan project based learning pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA. Pada studi evaluasi pembelajaran ini, peneliti menggunakan model evaluasi IPO (Input, Process, Output).. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Pada penelitian ini, terdapat 144 peserta didik SMA dan pengajar guru biologi di SMA tempat penelitian ini dilakukan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, evaluasi komponen input menunjukkan bahwa implementasi project based learning pembelajaran biologi termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Terdapat beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan seperti sumber belajar, ketersediaan fasilitas, sarana dan prasarana. Sedangkan, temuan penelitian pada evaluasi komponen proses menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran biologi menggunakan project based learning terkategori dengan baik. Guru telah melakukan sebagian besar sintaks pembelajaran project based learning, tetapi terdapat beberapa tahapan yang belum dilaksanakan dengan maksimal. Evaluasi pada komponen output memperlihatkan respon peserta didik terhadap project based learning dalam pembelajaran biologi secara umum tergolong baik. Namun, pada aspek keterampilan abad 21 (4C) peserta didik yang terdiri dari kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, komunikasi, serta berpikir kreatif dan inovatif secara keseluruhan masih dalam kategori menengah sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. The implementation of evaluation is one of the essential aspects to improve the quality of learning. Evaluation does not focus only on the results of learning, but also on the planning and learning process. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of project based learning in biology learning merdeka curriculum, as well as to identify obstacles to the implementation of project based learning in biology learning. This research was conducted in Biology subject in high school. In this learning evaluation study, researchers used the IPO (Input, Process, Output) evaluation model. The type of research method used in this study is evaluation research with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. In this study, there were 144 high school students and biology teacher at the high school where this research was conducted. Based on the research findings, the evaluation of the input component shows that the implementation of project based learning in biology learning is included in the adequate category. There are several things that need to be improved such as learning resources, availability of facilities, and infrastructure. Furthermore, research findings on the process component evaluation show that the implementation of biology learning using project based learning is in the good category. Teachers have performed most of the syntax of project based learning, but there are several stages that have not been implemented optimally. Evaluation of the output component shows that students' responses to project based learning in biology learning are generally classified in good category. However, in the aspect of 21st century skills (4C) of students which consist of the ability to think critically, collaboration, communication, creative and innovative thinking overall is still in the middle category so it needs to be improved.
