Abstract
Keterampilan literasi peta merupakan aspek penting yang perlu diajarkan kepada para siswa di tingkat SMA. Ada fenomena dimana siswa SMA Negeri 23 Bandung nilai literasi peta nya tergolong rendah dikarenakan sulitnya membaca dan menggunakan peta baik digital maupun konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan media pembelajaran google my maps dan peta konvensional dalam mempengaruhi keterampilan literasi peta pada siswa SMA Negeri 23 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasy experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group dan menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kelas yang berperan sebagai sampel adalah XU1 selaku kelompok eksperimen dan XU3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Literasi peta diukur berdasarkan indikator kemampuan membaca peta, interpretasi peta, menggunakan peta dan membuat peta dengan perbedaan perlakuan antara peta digital dan peta manual. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian terbagi atas analisis butir soal, paired sample T test, dan uji n gain score. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen menggunakan google my maps berpengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi peta, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan peta konvensional berpengaruh tetapi pengaruhnya tidak sebesar mengunakan google my maps. Besaran pengaruh diukur dengan uji n gain score yang menunjukkan bahwa skor penggunaan google my maps lebih berpengaruh dengan skala efektivitas tinggi dengan nilai presentase sebesar 68% sedangkan skor penggunaan peta konvensional sebesar 58% Dari pemaparan tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media google my maps memiliki perbedaan efektifitas yang signifikan terhadap media peta konvensional dalam mempengaruhi keterampilan literasi peta peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 23 Bandung. Map literacy skills are an important aspect that needs to be taught to students at the high school level. There is a phenomenon where students at SMA Negeri 23 Bandung have relatively low map literacy scores due to the difficulty of reading and using maps, both digital and conventional. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using the learning media Google My Maps and conventional maps in influencing map literacy skills in students at SMA Negeri 23 Bandung. The method used was a quasi experiment with a non-equivalent control group design and applying a quantitative approach. The classes that act as samples are XU1 as the experimental group and XU3 as the control group. Map literacy is measured based on indicators of the ability to read maps, interpret maps, use maps and make maps with differences in treatment between digital maps and manual maps. The data analysis techniques used in the research are divided into item analysis, paired sample T test, and n gain score test. The research results showed that the experimental class using Google My Maps had a significant effect on map literacy, while the control class using conventional maps had an effect but the effect was not as big as using Google My Maps. The magnitude of the influence was measured by the n gain test which showed that the score for using Google My Maps was more effective with a high effectiveness scale with a percentage value of 68% while the score for using conventional maps was 58%. From this explanation it can be concluded that Google My Maps media has a significant difference in effectiveness. significant impact on conventional map media in influencing the map literacy skills of class X students at SMAN 23 Bandung.
