Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi penguasaan konsep siswa yang masih rendah dan kepedulian terhadap pengembangan karakter positif siswa menggunakan internet sebagai salah satu sumber belajar. Tujuan penelitian meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, mengembangkan karakter komunikatif, kerja keras, dan rasa ingin tahu siswa, dan mengetahui hubungan kognitif dan karakter siswa menggunakan strategi pembelajaran “π-log”, yaitu strategi pembelajaran alternatif berbasis weblog. Metode penelitian mixed methods dengan desain penelitian concurrent embedded yang menghasilkan data kuantitatif penguasaan konsep dan data kualitatif karakter. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VII salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian lembar observasi keterlaksanaan strategi pembelajaran “π-log”, soal konsep, dan lembar penilaian karakter. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep diperoleh dari normalisasi gain hasil pre-test dan post-test soal konsep perubahan fisika. Pengembangan karakter diperoleh dari kecenderungan hasil penilaian karakter pada pertemuan pertama dan kedua berdasarkan rubrik penilaian karakter menggunakan skala Likert. Analisis regresi linier dan analisis korelasi digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penguasaan konsep dan karakter siswa. Nilai gain ternormalisasi dari penguasaan konsep 0,41 kategori sedang. Pengembangan karakter hari kedua cenderung meningkat dari hari pertama. Diperoleh koefisien arah regresi (b) 0,07 dan koefisien korelasi (r) 0,585. Simpulannya strategi pembelajaran “π-log” dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep perubahan fisika pada siswa SMP, mampu meningkatkan profil karakter komunikatif, kerja keras, dan rasa ingin tahu siswa, dan terdapat hubungan antara peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan karakter yang dimiliki siswa.----- This research motivated by governance concept of pupil is lack and cares to develop positive character to used internet as one of study source healthy. Purpose this research to increase concept governance, develop character communicative, effort, dan interest, and to know relation between concept governance and pupil’s character used learning strategy of “π-log”. “π-log” is learning strategy alternative of weblog. Research method used mix methods, quantitative research increased concept governance and qualitative research develop character of pupils. Research design concurrent embedded, data of quantitative research increased concept governance and data of qualitative research develop character of pupils. Purposive sampling used in this research. This research used sample in one of Junior High School in Bandung City. Instrument used in this research is sheet of observation learning strategy of “π-log”, concept question, and sheet of character assessment. Analyze of data with percentage learning strategy of “π-log”, concept analyze of cognitive concept question, and normalization gain to know increased of concept governance, skala Likert to know positive profil of character, and tendency character developed in physics learning, and regresi linier analyze and correlation analyze to know correlation between concept and character of pupils. Normalization gain 0,41 with medium categorized. Developed of character in days two tendency increased than days one. Coefficient of regression (b) 0,07 and coffecient of correlation (r) 0,585. The conclusion is learning strategy of “π-log” can increased governance of change physics concept pupils in junior high school, can increased profil of character communicative, effort, and interest, and found the correlation between cognitive and character of pupils
