    Abstract

    This research aims to determine the accessibility, facilities and infrastructure, suggestions/hopes of people with disabilities at recreational sports venues and the efforts made by managers of recreational sports venues to increase the number of visitors with disabilities. This research uses a qualitative method with a triangulation process, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The research subjects in this study were people with disabilities, disabled companions and managers & staff of recreational sports venues. The results of research in the field revealed several conclusions: Firstly, accessibility in recreational sports venues is felt by disabled people and their companions to be still not disabled-friendly, there is a need for improvement and additional access in recreational sports venues. Meanwhile, the accessibility measures carried out by the management have begun to meet the needs of people with disabilities. Second, the facilities and infrastructure at recreational sports venues for disabled people and their companions already have special toilets for disabled people, but there are no special sports facilities yet. Meanwhile, the management has started to facilitate facilities and infrastructure at recreational sports venues. Third, suggestions/hopes for people with disabilities and companions regarding recreational sports should pay attention to access and special infrastructure for people with disabilities who often experience difficulties. The four efforts made by recreational sports venue managers to increase the number of visitors with disabilities are being attempted but there is a lack of interest in the presence of visitors with disabilities. So there is no significant economic increase for managers of recreational sports venues.
