Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca dongéng. Dengan adanya métode dramatic reading diharapkan siswa mampu menyelesaikan persoalan itu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendéskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas X MAN Awipari Kota Tasikmalaya tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, dalam pembelajaran membaca dongéng sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan métode dramatic reading, dan meperbedaan signifikan dari metode ini. Métode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kuasi ékspérimén dengan menggunakan one group pretes and post-test design, dengan instrument tés membaca nyaring dongéng. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa naik dalam membaca dongeng, dari nilai 63,9 naik menjadi 82,36 setelah posttest, dengan beda rata-rata nilai 18,46. Berdasarkan uji hipotésis, menunjukan t _itung>t_tabél yaitu 14,65>2,46, ini berarti ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest siswa kelas X MAN Awipari Kota Tasikmalaya taun ajaran 2013/2014 saméméh jeung sabada ngagunakeun métode dramatic reading. Kata Kunci: metode dramatic reading, pembelajaran membaca dongeng This research is motivated by the lack of a ability of the students to read a fairy tale. With the dramatic of reading, students are expected to able to resolve the issue. The purpose of this research was to describe the ability of class X MAN Awipari Tasikmalaya academic year 2013/2014 in learning to read fairy tales before and after using the dramatic reading of method, and also to determine significant differences of these method. Study is quasi experimental or ane group pre and posttest design. Data gathering technique is to test, using test instruments loud reading fairy tale. The results showed an average pretest score of students in reading fairy tales is 63.9, while the average value of the posttest is 82.36. Based on the hypothesis test, that tcount> ttable ie 14.57> 2.46, this means that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest class X-8 MAN Awipari Tasikmalaya before and after using the dramatic reading.
