Abstract

ABSTRAK PERSEPSI ALUMNI TERHADAP KEBUTUHAN KOMPETENSI GURU PROFESIONAL LULUSAN S1 PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK ELEKTRO DPTE FPTK UPI Oleh: Viony Purnama Juniar NIM. 1900881 Di Indonesia, masalah pendidikan seringkali dipandang sangat rumit, terutama pada kualitas pendidikan yang selalu diperbincangkan. Salah satu faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan adalah kualitas guru. Dengan sistem pendidikan saat ini, guru merupakan komponen yang sangat penting. Seorang guru profesional yang berkompeten sangat dibutuhkan dalam dunia pendidikan. Rendahnya kualitas guru salah satunya adalah lulusan yang belum siap memasuki dunia kerja karena minimya kompetensi yang dimiliki. Lulusan Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro saat ini menghadapi tantangan harus mampu beradaptasi sebagai guru profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kompetensi guru profesional yang dibutuhkan lulusan Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro berdasarkan persepsi alumni. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Partisipan yang terlibat adalah 50 responden. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari para alumni Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro yang telah bekerja sebagai Guru di SMK, dan pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun teknik untuk menganalisis data menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan software SPSS 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons alumni terhadap kebutuhan kompetensi guru profesional yang dibutuhkan oleh lulusan meliputi kompetensi pedagogis, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Keempat kompetensi tersebut memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan mereka sebagai guru profesional. Kompetensi guru tersebut merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Dengan mengidentifikasi kompetensi yang dibutuhkan, di bidang Pendidikan Teknik Elektro dapat lebih fokus dalam mempersiapkan lulusannya untuk menjadi guru yang profesional dan berkualitas. One of the key factors in improving the quality of education is the quality of teachers. In the current education system, the teacher is a very important component. A competent professional teacher is needed in the world of education. One of the low-quality teachers is a graduate who is not ready to enter the world of work due to their lack of competence. Graduates of the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program are currently facing the challenge of having to adapt as professional teachers. This study aims to identify the professional teacher competencies needed by graduates of the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Education Study Program based on the alumni's perceptions. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale. The participants involved were 50 respondents. The research population consisted of alumni of the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Education Study Program who had worked as teachers at SMKs, and the sample selection used a purposive sampling technique. The technique for analyzing the data used descriptive statistical methods with the help of SPSS 29 software. The results showed that the alumni's responses to the professional teacher competency needs required by graduates included pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. These four competencies have a significant influence on their abilities as professional teachers. Teacher competence is a very important factor in improving the quality of education. By identifying the competencies needed, the Electrical Engineering Education field can focus more on preparing graduates to become professional and qualified teachers.
