Abstract

This research aims to develop IPAS (Natural and Social Science) teaching materials based on social inquiry to improve the eco literacy of phase C students in elementary school. Ecoliteracy, or ecological literacy, is becoming increasingly important in the modern era, where understanding and awareness of environmental issues and participation in sustainable actions are crucial. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) development model. The research instruments used are observation, questionnaires, and evaluation tests. Data analysis techniques used in this research are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The subjects of this research are phase C students in the fifth grade of elementary school. The initial design was done through layouting, followed by the design process using Canva, and then continued with the process of developing the application using Android Studio. The validation results of the IPAS teaching materials from expert validators obtained a very good predicate with an average score of 88.78%. After implementing the IPAS teaching materials to the V-grade students in elementary school, the results showed an improvement in ecoliteracy with an average pre-test score of 52 and an average post-test score of 87.1.
