Abstract

menghasilkan media pengenalan konsep bilangan pada anak usia dini. Hal ini dilatar belakangi kurangnya pemahaman numerasi pada satuan pendidikan anak usia dini khususnya pengenalanan konsep bilangan. Akibatnya anak pada rentang usia 4-5 tahun mengalami hambatan pada kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti bermaksud mengembangkan media pengenalan konsep bilangan pada anak usia dini melalui tangram number. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui gambaran proses pengembangan media; 2) mengetahui hasil uji validasi media dan; 3) mengetahui hasil uji coba penggunaan media. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Educational Design Research dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru dan lima orang anak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi, pedoman wawancara dan lembar uji validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) proses pengembangan media; 2) hasil uji validasi media tangram number dari ahli materi mendapatkan penilaian dengan persentase 81,81%, dan hasil penilaian kelayakan dari ahli media mendapatkan persentase sebesar 96,36%. Saran dan masukan dari ahli materi dan media dijadikan acuan dan perbaikan agar dapat diuji cobakan kepada pengguna. Hasil uji validasi tangram number oleh kepala sekolah mendapatkan skor 98,18% dan oleh guru sebesar 96,36%. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi media baik dari ahli, kepala sekolah dan guru mendapatkan kategori Sangat Layak dan; 3) hasil uji coba penggunaan media mendapatkan skor sebesar 78,75% sehingga apabila diinterpretasikan kriteria kualitas media mendapatkan hasil Baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi dan respon pengguna, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media tangram number sangat layak dan mampu menstimulus pengenalan konsep bilangan pada anak. ----------- This research is a design and development research that aims to produce media for the introduction of the concept of numbers in early childhood. This is motivated by a lack of understanding of numeracy in early childhood education units, especially the introduction of the concept of numbers. As a result, children in the age range of 4-5 years experience obstacles in the ability to recognize number concepts. Based on this, the researcher intends to develop a medium for introducing the concept of numbers to early childhood through tangram numbers. This study aims to 1) describe the media development process; 2) find out the results of the media validation test and; 3) find out the results of trials using the media. This study used the Educational Design Research method involving the principal, teachers and five children. The instruments used were observation, interview guides and validation test sheets. The results of this study indicate that 1) the media development process; 2) the results of the validation test of the media tangram number from material experts get an assessment with a percentage of 81.81%, and the results of the feasibility assessment from media experts get a percentage of 96.36%. Suggestions and input from material and media experts are used as a reference and improvement so that it can be tested on users. The results of the tangram number validation test by the principal got a score of 98.18% and by the teacher at 96.36%. Based on the results of the media validation test both from experts, school principals and teachers get the Very Eligible category and; 3) the results of the trial use of the media get a score of 78.75% so that when interpreted the criteria for media quality get good results. Based on the results of validation tests and user responses, it can be concluded that the tangram number media is very feasible and able to stimulate the introduction of the concept of numbers in children.
