Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan karena siswa memilikiLkemampuan pemahaman matematis yang rendah. Rendahnya kemampuanLpemahaman matematis terlihat dari kesalahanLyang dilakukan siswa saat menyelesaikan soal, kesulitan siswaLuntukLmenerapkan ide-ide yang mereka pelajari untuk menyelesaikan soal cerita, dan kesulitan mereka menyelesaikan soal ketikaLmereka diberikan model soal yang berbeda. Tujuan dari penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif model realistic mathematics education berbasis multiple intelligences terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis materi bangun datar di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Dengan sampel yang dipilih secara tidak acak, penelitian ini menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua instrument yaitu tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan kuesioner kecerdasan majemuk. Kuesioner kecerdasan majemuk didistribusikan untuk mengetahui jenis kecerdasan yang dimiliki siswa. Kecerdasan linguistik, kecerdasan interpersonal, dan kecerdasan naturalis adalah tiga jenis kecerdasan yang ditemukan di kelas eksperimen. Kuesioner disebar berdasarkan multiple intelligences profiling questionnaire (MIPQ) yang merupakan standar kuesioner yang didasarkan pada teori kecerdasan majemuk. Setelah itu diberikan pretest, perlakuan, dan posttest. Setelah melewati semua tahap, analisis data menunjukkan bahwa model realistic mathematics education berbasis multiple intelligences meningkatkan N-Gain sebesar 0,40 dengan kategori sedang. Di sisi lain, model kontrol konvensional meningkatkan N-Gain sebesar 0,29 dengan kategori rendah. ------ The background of this research is due to the low mathematical comprehension abilty. The low mathematical comprehension abilty can be seen from the errors in the problem solving procedures done by students, students' difficulties in applying the concepts taught in solving word problems, and students' difficulties in solving problems when given different problem models. This research is an experimental research with a quasi-experimental method that aims to determine the effectiveness of the realistic mathematics education model based on multiple intelligences on students' mathematical comprehension abilities in flat shape materials in grade IV elementary schools. The design in this study was a nonequivalent control group design with a non-random sample selection. The instrument of this study used a test of mathematical comprehension abilty. and multiple intelligences questionnaires. Multiple intelligence questionnaires were distributed with the aim of knowing the type of student intelligence. From the results of distributing a questionnaire adapted from the Multiple Intelligences Profiling Questionnaire (MIPQ) or a standard questionnaire based on the theory of multiple intelligences, 3 types of intelligence were found in the experimental class, namely linguistic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and naturalist intelligence. After that given pretest, treatment, and posttest. After all stages have been passed, based on the results of data analysis it was found that the realistic mathematics education model based on multiple intelligences gave an increase in N-Gain of 0.40 in the moderate category and gave an increase in each indicator of mathematical comprehension abilty. Whereas in the control class with the conventional model it gives an increase in N-Gain of 0.29 in the low category and can give an increase in every indicator of mathematical comprehension abilty except for explaining indicators that are included in concepts and not mathematical concepts.
