Abstract

E-modul pembelajaran IPS merupakan bahan ajar digital yang digunakan dalam rangka penyelenggaraan pembelajaran IPS untuk peserta didik di SMP. E-modul disusun sebagai alternatif bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik dalam rangka menguatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, mengingat kondisi yang terjadi saat ini keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik relatif rendah. Penelitian ini diselenggarakan dengan tujuan menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran IPS yang valid, praktis, serta efektif untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan dengan Model Rowntree & Tessmer, penelitian pengembangan dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan utama yaitu perencanaan, pengembangan dan evaluasi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, angket, tes dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis sebagaimana tahapan analisis sesuai dengan data yang diperoleh (deskripsi, persentase nilai dan pengujian statistika). Melalui proses analisis data di setiap tahapan pengembangan, maka hasil yang dicapai dari penyelenggaraan penelitian ini adalah (1) pada kondisi awal, peserta didik SMPN di Kayuagung telah memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan dominan pada kategori cukup kritis; (2) E-modul pembelajaran IPS yang dihasilkan melalui pengembangan dengan kombinasi model Rowntree & Tessmer dinyatakan valid dan praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran; (3) E-modul pembelajaran IPS yang dikembangkan dinyatakan efektif digunakan pada proses pembelajaran khususnya untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMPN di Kayuagung. The social studies learning e-module is a digital teaching material that is used in the context of organizing social studies learning for students in junior high schools. E-modules are structured as alternative teaching materials that are in accordance with the characteristics of students in order to strengthen critical thinking skills, given the current conditions students' critical thinking skills are relatively low. This research was conducted with the aim of producing social studies learning e-modules that are valid, practical, and effective for optimizing students' critical thinking skills in junior high schools. The method used is the development research method with the Rowntree & Tessmer Model, development research is carried out with three main stages, namely planning, development and evaluation. The research data were obtained through interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests and documentation, which were then analyzed according to the stages of analysis according to the data obtained (description, percentage scores and statistical tests). Through the process of data analysis at each stage of development, the results achieved from conducting this research were (1) in the initial conditions, SMPN students in Kayuagung already had students' critical thinking skills with a predominance in the moderately critical category; (2) Social Studies learning e-modules produced through development with a combination of the Rowntree & Tessmer model are declared valid and practically used in the learning process; (3) The social studies learning e-module that was developed was stated to be effectively used in the learning process, especially to optimize the critical thinking skills of SMPN students in Kayuagung.
