Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 menggunakan model Group Investigation. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen. Tekniknya yaitu teknik tes pada siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa sebelum menggunakan model Group Inestigation ada 3 siswa atau 15% yang mencapai nilai KKM, sedangkan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa sesudah menggunakan model Group Investigation ada 17 siswa atau 85% yang mencapai nilai KKM. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan, ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Group Investiagtion. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model Group Investigation bisa meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung. This study was motivated by the lack of students' ability in learning to write news texts. This study aimed to descrive skills of writing texts students of XI MIPA 2 of SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung Academic Year 2022/2023 using Group Investigation. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The technique is a test technique for class XI MIPA 2 students at Pasundan 2 Bandung High School in the 2022/2023 Academic Year, a total of 20 students. The results of this study are the ability to write news texts before using the Group Investigation model, there are 3 students or 15% who achieve KKM scores, while the ability to write news texts for students after using the Group Investigation model is 17 students or 85% who achieve KKM scores. Based on the hypothesis testing conducted, there is a significant difference between the ability to write news texts before and after using the Group Investigation model. The results of this study prove that the Group Investigation model can improve the ability to write news texts for class XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung.
