Abstract

Terkait dengan kemampuan membaca permulaan tampaknya masih banyak anak yang kesulitan membaca maka, untuk menambah pengetahuan anak salah satu kemampuan yang harus dikembangkan adalah kemampuan berbahasa yaitu membaca pemulaan, dengan berbahasa anak dapat memahami kata dan kalimat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif model eksperimen menggunakan desain Pre-Experimental dengan bentuk One Group Pretest Posttest Design yang dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas I di SDN 1 Cihangasa. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model permainan dalam meningkatkan membaca pemulaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas mengalami peningkatan berdasarkan hasil analisis data Uji t dapat ditarik kesimpulan hasil pengujian yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa sig < 0,05 atau 0,00 < 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak Ha diterima dan berdasarkan hasil pengujian uji normalitas menunjukkan jika data berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal dengan besaran koefisien sig α= 0,200>0,05. Dengan demikian Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak pada taraf kepercayaan 0,95 hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata skor hasil belajar pretest dengan ratarata skor hasil belajar posttest. Maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa sikap murid setelah diberikan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode permainan dengan bantuan media permainan menunjukkan respon yang positif. Sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran metode ini sangat disarankan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. ---------- Regarding the ability to read at the beginning, it seems that there are still many children who have difficulty reading, so to increase children's knowledge one of the abilities that must be developed is language skills, namely reading, with language children can understand words and sentences. The thesis entitled "The Effect of Learning By Playing on the Reading Development of First Grade Students at SDN 1 Cihangasa, Cikakak District, Sukabumi Regency" is a quantitative research experimental model using a Pre-Experimental design in the form of One Group Pretest Posttest Design conducted on class students I at SDN 1 Cihangasa, Cikakak District, Sukabumi Regency, for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Learning By Playing learning model in improving student learning outcomes in terms of the cognitive aspect, namely the ability to read beginners. The data collection technique was carried out by giving an initial test (pretest) to a group known as the experimental class. Then given treatment (treatment) by applying the Learning By Playing learning model with a scientific approach, then given a final test (posttest) at the end of learning. The results of the study in terms of the cognitive aspect showed that the learning outcomes of the study class experienced an increase (gain normalized) by 0.68 or 68% (medium category), with an average pretest score of students of 47.41 and an average posttest score of students of 83.6. Based on the results of the study showing that the application of the Learning By Playing learning model can increase effectiveness in children's reading abilities, in terms of the results of data analysis t test it can be concluded that tcount is -15,159 and ttable is 1,699 The test results obtained show that tcount is in the Ho acceptance area , i.e. ttable > tcount or -15,159 > 1,699, with an Xcount value of 182.7 and an Xtable of 207,955 which indicates that Xtable > Xcount, which means Ho is accepted which indicates that the data distribution is normally distributed and based on the results of the data normality test it shows that the data comes from the population normally distributed with a sig coefficient magnitude α = 0.200> 0.05. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is accepted at a confidence level of 0.95 this shows that there is a significant difference between the average score of pretest learning outcomes and the average score of learning outcomes posttest. So it can be concluded that the attitude of students after being given learning using the learning by playing method with the help of game media shows a positive response. So that in the learning process this method is highly recommended to improve the quality of learning.
