Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini memiliki judul “Pemanfaatan video edukasi dalam pembelajaran IPS (Studi Deskriptif tentang pemahaman materi siswa pada Kelas VIII E di SMP Muhammadiayah 6 Bandung)”. Pemahaman materi merupakan suatu ketermpilan abad 21 yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Namun ditemukannya suatu permasalahan minimnya pemahaman materi siswa, maka dengan demikian guru harus segera menemukan solusi tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Guru memberikan solusi dengan memanfaatakan video edukasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keberhasilan dari solusi yang guru pilih dengan melihat peningkatan pemahaman materi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah alasan yang diungkapkan oleh guru mengenai pemanfaatan video edukasi menghasilkan respon yang positif, pelaksanaan penggunaan video edukasi dalam pembelajaran IPS dan tanggapan siswa terkait pemanfaatan video dalam pembelajaran. Dimana pemanfaatan video edukasi mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif, sehingga dalam pelaksanaanya terlihat bahwa adanya peningkatan pada pemahaman materi siswa seperti siswa lebih aktif selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dijelaskan pada skripsi ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa telah menunjukkan ketertarikan dan semangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran serta kemudahan siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran. Peneliti menyertakan skripsi ini dengan beberapa rekomendasi yang diajukan kepada beberapa pihak, di antaranya kepada kepala sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung, kepada guru mata pelajaran IPS, dan kepada peneliti selanjutnya. ABSTRACT This thesis has the title "Utilization of educational videos in social studies learning (Descriptive Study of students' understanding of material in Class VIII E at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung)". Understanding the material is a 21st century skill that must be possessed by students. However, a problem with the lack of student material is found, so the teacher must immediately find the right solution to overcome this problem. The teacher provides a solution by utilizing educational videos as learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the success of the solution that the teacher chose by looking at the increase in students' understanding of the material. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study are the reasons expressed by the teacher regarding the use of educational videos resulting in positive responses, the implementation of the use of educational videos in social studies learning and student responses regarding the use of videos in learning. Where the use of educational videos gets positive responses, so that in its implementation it can be seen that there is an increase in students' understanding of material as students are more active during learning. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been explained in this thesis, it can be concluded that students have shown interest and enthusiasm in participating in learning and the ease with which students understand the subject matter. The researcher included this thesis with several recommendations submitted to several parties, including the principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung, the social studies subject teacher, and the next researcher.
