Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pembelajaran IPA cenderung lebih banyak menghafal dan terkadang menggunakan media yang monoton. Pembelajaran yang kurang menarik sering membuat siswa merasa bosan bahkan siswa tidak memiliki ketertarikan dalam mengembangkan sikap rasa ingin tahu. Gaya belajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa kelas V adalah visual dikarenakan siswa lebih suka dan tertarik terhadap gambar atau ilustrasi. Adapun media pembelajaran KOKODIFLA berupa media yang dikolaborasikan antara komik digital dan flashcard yang berisikan materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk melatih pemahaman konsep pada siswa dengan menggunakan metode Design and Development. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah yang bertempat di Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media pembelajaran KOKODIFLA layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA khususnya materi sistem, pernapasan manusia. Penilaian dari ahli media terhadap media pembelajaran KOKODIFLA mendapatkan persentase 93,8%, penilaian ahli bahasa 89,6%, penilaian ahli materi 93,8% dan penilaian ahli pembelajaran 93,6% dapat disimpilkan dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh aspek translasi dengan skor gain 0,36 dikategorikan rendah, interpretasi dengan skor gain 0,67 dikategorikan sedang dan ekstrapolasi 0,92 dikategorikan tinggi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa aspek translasi lebih rendah dari aspek interpretasi dan ekstrapolasi pada pemahaman konsep siswa. -------- The background of this research is that science learning tends to memorize more and sometimes uses monotonous media. Less interesting learning often makes students feel bored and even students have no interest in developing an attitude of curiosity. The learning style that fits the characteristics of fifth grade students is visual because students prefer and are interested in pictures or illustrations. The KOKODIFLA learning media is in the form of media that is collaborated between digital comics and flashcards which contain material on the human respiratory system. This study aims to develop learning media to train students' understanding of concepts using the Design and Development method. This research was conducted in a school located in Sumedang Regency, West Java. The results showed that the KOKODIFLA learning media was suitable for use in science learning, especially system material, human breathing. The media expert's assessment of KOKODIFLA learning media obtained a percentage of 93.8%, linguists' assessment of 89.6%, material expert's assessment of 93.8% and learning expert's assessment of 93.6% which can be summarized in the "Very Eligible" category. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the translation aspect with a gain score of 0.36 was categorized as low, an interpretation with a gain score of 0.67 was categorized as moderate and an extrapolation of 0.92 was categorized as high. Thus it can be concluded that the translation aspect is lower than the interpretation and extrapolation aspect in students' understanding of concepts.
