Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai dampak tayangan Youtube dikalangan anak usia sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data mengenai dampak yang timbul dari tayangan Youtube terhadap anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sementara itu, partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru, dan orang tua siswa di Desa Cihikeu. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan adanya dampak terhadap sikap sosial anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Cihikeu baik itu positif maupun negatif. Salah satu dampak yang timbul adalah pada sikap sosial anak, karena melalui tayangan youtube anak dapat menjadi lebih bersikap individualistis. Hal tersebut tidak lepas dari intesitas penggunaan aplikasi Youtube di kalangan anak serta pengaruh dari jenis tayangan yang mereka tonton yang mayoritas hanya merupakan tayangan hiburan semata serta minim unsur edukasi di dalamnya. ------ This study discusses the impact of Youtube views among primary school age children. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the impact arising from Youtube views on primary school age children. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. The technique of data collection in this study is to use interviews, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the participants in this study were students, teachers, and parents of students in Cihikeu Village. The results of the study showed an impact on the social attitudes of primary school age children in Cihikeu Village both positive and negative. One of the impacts that arise is on children's social attitudes, because through YouTube views children can become more individualistic. This cannot be separated from the intensity of the use of the Youtube application among children and the influence of the type of shows they watch, the majority of which are only entertainment shows and minimal educational elements in them.
