Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang belajar geometri dengan pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing memiliki perbedaan kemampuan generalisasi matematik secara signifikan dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol yang belajar secara konvensional. Sampel terdiri dari tiga kelas, dipilih dari kelas VII secara random klaster. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes bentuk essay dan format observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (a) Terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan kemampuan generalisasi matematik siswa kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan siswa kelas kontrol. (b) Kemampuan generalisasi matematik siswa pada kelas E2 lebih baik daripada siswa kelas E1. Disimpulkan bahwa belajar geometri dengan pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing merupakan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan generalisasi matematik siswa.
