Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, seperti terlihat dari hasil tes PISA, penelitian sebelumnya, dan hasil penskoran tes Numerasi AKM. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menjadi indikator penting dalam keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika maupun kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, self efficacy juga memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam perkembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SD, self efficacy siswa kelas V SD, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ditinjau dari tingkat self efficacy, dan hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan angket self efficacy. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 19 siswa kelas V SD Labschool UPI Kampus Cibiru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SD berada pada kategori sedang, dengan rata-rata skor 56,4; 2) Self efficacy siswa kelas V SD juga berada pada kategori sedang, dengan rata-rata skor 62,3; 3) Terdapat siswa dengan tingkat self efficacy tinggi yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis tinggi, siswa dengan tingkat self efficacy sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sedang, dan siswa dengan tingkat self efficacy rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis rendah; dan 4) Terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,712 yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, semakin tinggi juga self efficacy siswa. Selain itu, sebesar 39,6% dari variasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SD dapat dijelaskan oleh self efficacy siswa. -------- This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving skills of students, as evidenced by the results of the PISA test, previous research, and the Numeracy AKM test scoring. Mathematical problem-solving ability is an important indicator of students' success in mathematics learning and everyday life. Additionally, self-efficacy plays a significant role in the development of students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore, this research aims to determine the mathematical problem-solving ability of fifth-grade students, the self-efficacy of fifth-grade students, the relationship between their mathematical problem-solving ability and self-efficacy, and the influence of self-efficacy on their problem-solving skills. The research methodology employed was descriptive quantitative method, utilizing instruments such as mathematical problem-solving tests and self-efficacy questionnaires. The participants consisted of 19 fifth-grade students from SD Labschool UPI Kampus Cibiru. The findings of the study indicate that: 1) The mathematical problem-solving skills of fifth-grade students are categorized as moderate, with an average score of 56.4; 2) The self-efficacy of fifth-grade students is also categorized as moderate, with an average score of 62.3; 3) There are students with high self-efficacy who exhibit high mathematical problem-solving skills, students with moderate self-efficacy demonstrate moderate problem-solving skills, and students with low self-efficacy display low problem-solving skills; and 4) There is a strong positive relationship between mathematical problem-solving ability and student self-efficacy, with a correlation coefficient of 0.712, indicating that as students' mathematical problem-solving ability increases, their self-efficacy also increases. Furthermore, 39.6% of the variation in fifth-grade students' mathematical problem-solving ability can be explained by student self-efficacy.
