Abstract

Dibalik banyaknya hal positif, globalisasi dianggap sebagai ancaman terhadap identitas kultural mengarah pada adanya pelemahan nasionalisme. Pembelajaran abad 21 harus mampu menghasilkan generasi muda yang memiliki kompetensi global tanpa melupakan jati diri bangsa. Pengenalan stimulasi nasionalisme dan salah satu kecakapan abad 21 yaitu literasi kritis perlu dikemas dengan menarik dan dekat dengan lingkungan anak. Sementara di Indonesia kesediaan media yang mencakup kedua materi tersebut masih sangat jarang ditemukan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti tertarik mengembangkan media stimulasi karakter nasionalisme dan literasi kritis anak usia dini melalui media flap-busy book yang dikemas menarik dan inovatif. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan prototipe, uji kelayakan, dan uji coba lapangan guna menghasilkan produk yang layak untuk menstimulasi karakter nasionalisme dan literasi kritis anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research mencakup analisis, desain dan evaluasi dengan melibatkan guru, anak usia 5-6 tahun, dan tiga orang ahli. Proses pengumpulan data dari penelitian meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan rating scale untuk memvalidasi kelayakan media. Data kualitatif yang dikumpulkan kemudian diproses melalui reduksi data, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan sedangkan data kuantitatif melalui presentase skala likert. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan yaitu berupa prototipe media flap-busy book yang telah teruji kelayakan “Sangat Layak” dan hasil yang memuaskan pada uji coba lapangan. Maka dari itu, media flap-busy book telah sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini serta dapat digunkan untuk menstimulasi karakter nasionalisme dan literasi kritis anak usia dini ----------- Behind the many positives, globalization is considered a threat to cultural identity leading to a weakening of nationalism. 21st century learning must produce young people with global competence without forgetting the nation's identity. The introduction of nationalism stimulation and one of the 21st century skills, critical literacy, needs to be presented in an interesting way and close to the child's environment. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the availability of media that covers both materials is still very rare. Based on that, researchers are interested to developing media to stimulate the character of nationalism and critical literacy in early childhood through flap-busy book media that is packaged attractively and innovatively. This study aims to describe the development of prototypes, feasibility tests, and field trials to produce products that are suitable for stimulating the character of nationalism and critical literacy of children. The research method used was Educational Design Research including analysis, design and evaluation involving teachers, children aged 5-6 years, and three experts. The data collection process of the research includes interviews, observations, documentation, and rating scales to validate the feasibility of the media. The qualitative data collected was then processed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing while the quantitative data was through Likert scale percentage. The final result obtained is a prototype of the flap-busy book media that has been tested "Very Feasible" and has satisfying results in the field trial. Therefore, the flap-busy book media is in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood and can be used to stimulate the character of nationalism and critical literacy in early childhood.
