Abstract
Kasus kekerasan dan kejahatan seksual kepada anak selalu meningkat tiap tahunnya. Hal ini terjadi karena pendidikan seksual kepada anak masih dianggap tabu. Pada usia 5-6 tahun perkembangan kognitif anak pada tahap praoprasional dan tahap perkembangan anak adalah tahap phallic. Dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan diperlukannya media yang sesuai dengan perkembangan anak agar pembelajaran yang dilakukan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi buku cerita seri kesehatan dan keselamatan anak dengan mengetahui penyampaian materi pendidikan seksual dan kesesuaian buku cerita dengan tahapan perkembangan dan kriteria buku cerita sebagai media pendidikan seksual anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis konten dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah buku cerita seri kesehatan dan keselamatan anak yang berjudul “Perbedaan Laki-Laki dan Perempuan”, “Berani Katakan Tidak!”, “Selalu Berhati-Hati, Ya!” dan “Ini Bukan Salahmu!”. Data hasil penelitian menunjukan buku cerita seri kesehatan dan keselamatan anak dapat menjadi media pendidikan seksual untuk anak usia 5-6 tahun karena bersifat edukatif, sesuai tahapan perkembangan dan kriteria buku cerita anak. ------- Cases of violence and sexual crimes against children always increase every year. This happens because sexual education to children is still considered taboo. At the age of 5-6 years, the child's cognitive development is at the preoperational stage and the child's developmental stage is the phallic stage. In the implementation of education, media is needed in accordance with the development of children so that learning is carried out effectively. This study aims to analyze the contents of the story book series on children's health and safety by knowing the delivery of sexual education material and the suitability of story books with the stages of development and criteria for story books as a medium for sexual education for children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The object used in this research is a children's health and safety story book series entitled "The Difference between Boys and Girls", "Dare to Say No!", "Always Be Careful, Yes!" and "It's Not Your Fault!". The research data shows that the children's health and safety story book series can be a medium of sexual education for children aged 5-6 years because it is educative, according to the stages of development and criteria for children's story books.
