Abstract

ABSTRAK Yuni Catur. 2023. PENANGGALAN HARI PERINGATAN PROFESI SEBAGAI GAGASAN PENCIPTAAN ILUSTRASI PADA KALENDER Skripsi ini merupakan karya ilustrasi dengan tema profesi yang dapat menjadi media komunikasi efektif untuk memberikan informasi mengenai hari peringatan berbagai profesi. Proses perancangan karya ini menggunakan metode Kipling. Perancangan kalender ilustrasi ini dikerjakan secara digital menggunakan software Adobe Ilustrator 2021. Karya dicetak dan dikemas dalam bentuk kalender dengan lebar 29,7cm dan panjang 42cm menggunakan kertas Art paper. Gaya ilustrasi pada kalender ini adalah semi kartun-semi realis. Analisis visual pada kalender ilustrasi dengan tema profesi ini terdiri dari ilustrasi, tipografi, komposisi, tata letak, warna, dan jarak pandang. Adapun warna-warna yang digunakan adalah corak pewarnaan yang sesuai dengan keadaan nyata atau disebut corak realis, warna tersebut merupakan perpaduan antara warna panas, hangat, dan dingin serta menggunakan warna harmonis. Jumlah ilustrasi yang dihasilkan sebanyak 12 buah. Diharapkan hasil penciptaan karya ini dapat menjadi media untuk memperkenalkan hari peringatan berbagai profesi kepada masyarakat umum dan semoga karya ini menjadi contoh acuan dalam pembuatan kalender ilustrasi yang lebih menarik. PROFESSIONAL ANNIVERSARY CALENDAR AS AN IDEA TO CREATE AN ILLUSTRATION ON THE CALENDAR This thesis is an illustrative work report with a professional theme that can be an effective communication medium to provide information about the anniversary of various professions. The process of designing this work uses the Kipling method. The design of this illustration calendar was done digitally using Adobe Illustrator 2021 software. The work is printed and packaged in a calendar form with a width of 29.7cm and a length of 42cm using Art paper. The illustration style on this calendar is semi-cartoon-semi-realist. Visual analysis on the illustration calendar with the theme of this profession consists of illustration, typography, composition, layout, colors, and visibility. The colors used are coloring patterns that correspond to real conditions or are called realist shades, these colors are a combination of hot, warm, and cold colors and use harmonious colors. The number of illustrations produced is 12 pieces. It is hoped that the creation of this work can be a medium to introduce the anniversary of various professions to the general public and hopefully this work will be a reference example in making a more interesting illustration calendar.
