Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa belum memiliki keterampilan berbicara yang baik. Para siswa tidak biasa menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia untuk berkomunikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga minim kosakata Bahasa Indonesia. Hal itu menyebabkan siswa tidak percaya diri ketika berbicara di depan umum, termasuk ketika pembelajaran di kelas. Selain itu, dalam praktiknya, guru tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran sehingga kurangnya minat dan ketertarikan siswa dalam pembelajaran bercerita. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk keterampilan berbicara siswa sehingga mengatasi masalah yang terdapat di lapangan. Media dadu bercerita dirancang menggunakan metode Design and Development mengikuti tahapan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan media dadu bercerita layak digunakan. Penilaian dari ahli media terhadap media dadu bercerita mendapatkan persentase 96,9% dan mencapai kategori “Sangat Layak”. Setelah dilakukan uji validasi oleh ahli media, media dadu bercerita diimplementasikan kepada guru dan siswa sebagai pengguna. Penilaian dari seluruh siswa kelas V yang terjumlah 11 orang mendapatkan persentase 90,68% dan dari tiga guru SDS Pasirgede mendapatkan persentase 96,2%. Sehingga dapat diketahui respons siswa dan guru mencapai kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil penilaian keterampilan menunjukan siswa mendapatkan kategori penilaian tinggi dan sedang. Kehadiran media dadu bercerita ini menjadi stimulus kreativitas siswa dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan media dadu bercerita membuat kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan siswa termotivasi dalam belajar sehingga dapat ikut serta aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. ------- This research is motivated by students not having good speaking skills. The students are not used to using Indonesian to communicate in daily life so that the Indonesian vocabulary is minimal. This causes students not to be confident when speaking in public, including when learning in class. In addition, in practice, teachers do not use learning media so that students' lack of interest and interest in learning to tell stories. The purpose of this study is to develop learning media for students' speaking skills so as to overcome problems in the field. Story telling dice media is designed using the Design and Development following the stages of the ADDIE development model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the storytelling dice media was feasible to use. The media expert's assessment of the storytelling dice media got a percentage of 96.9% and reached the "Very Eligible" category. After the validation test was carried out by media experts, the storytelling dice media was implemented for teachers and students as users. The assessment of all fifth grade students who totaled 11 people got a percentage of 90.68% and from the three SDS Pasirgede teachers it got a percentage of 96.2%. So that it can be seen that the responses of students and teachers reached the "Very Eligible" category. The results of the skills assessment show that students get high and medium assessment categories. The presence of story telling dice media is a stimulus for students' creativity and can improve students' speaking skills. In addition, the use of storytelling dice media makes learning activities more meaningful and students are motivated in learning so that they can actively participate in learning activities.
