Abstract

Mahasiswa sebagai pebelajar yang mandiri perlu mengembangkan kemampuannya dalam mengatur atau meregulasi dirinya agar mampu menghadapi tantangan di masa depan. Sumber belajar lingkungan menjadi salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh dalam mengembangkan kemampuan self-regulated learning. Coffee shop sebagai suatu tempat yang memberikan kesempatan untuk melaksanakan berbagai aktivitas, menjadi salah satu pilihan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan self-regulated learning mahasiswa dalam pemanfaatan coffee shop sebagai lingkungan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara semi struktur dan di dukung oleh dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lingkungan di Brewspace baik itu lingkungan fisik maupun sosial dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pengunjung mahasiswa. Kemampuan self-regulated learning mahasiswa yang ditinjau dari 10 kegiatan belajar, 5 di antaranya mampu dijalankan oleh mereka, yaitu kegiatan goal setting and planning, organizing and transforming, seeking information, self evaluation, environmental structuring, sedangkan tiga lainnya, yaituselfconsequences, seeking social assistance, keeping records hanya dapat dilakukan oleh sebagian partisipan dan kegiatan rehearsing and memorizing, reviewing text, notes & test belum mampu dilaksanakan secara maksimal oleh seluruh partisipan, hal ini karena pengaruh dari lingkungan yang kurang mendukung. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa dalam pemanfaatan coffee shop diperlukan kemampuan self-regulated learning yang dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk mengatur pembelajarannya agar berlangsung secara maksimal dengan menyesuaikan keadaan di coffee shop. Students as independent learners need to develop their ability to manage or regulate themselves to be able to face challenges in the future. Environmental learning resources are one of the influential factors in developing self-regulated learning abilities. A coffee shop as a place that provides opportunities to carry out various activities, is an option that can be used to develop students' self-abilities. This study aims to determine the ability of students' self-regulated learning in the use of coffee shops as a learning environment. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using observation methods, semi-structured interviews, and supported by documentation. The results of the research show that the environment at Brewspace, both physical and social, can be utilized by student visitors. Students' self-regulated learning abilities in terms of 10 learning activities, 5 of which they can carry out, namely goal setting and planning, organizing and transforming, seeking information, self-evaluation, and environmental structuring, while the other three, namely self-consequences, seeking social assistance, keeping records can only be carried out by some participants and rehearsing and memorizing, reviewing texts, notes & tests have not been able to be carried out optimally by all participants, this is due to the influence of an unsupportive environment. Based on these findings, it was concluded that in the use of a coffee shop needed a self -regulated learning ability which can help students to organize their learning so that it takes place optimally according to the conditions in the coffee shop
