Abstract

Praktik kerja lapangan merupakan program pada pendidikan menegah kejuruan di mana siswa menjalani proses belajar bekerja di dunia usaha/dunia industri untuk memperoleh pengalaman mengenai kondisi dunia kerja secara langsung agar siswa memiliki kesiapan kerja yang lebih matang. Namun kenyataannya lulusan pendidikan menegah kejuruan masih sulit bersaing di dunia kerja, hal ini bertentangan dengan tujuan pendidikan kejuruan yang seharusnya mencetak lulusannya agar lebih siap bekerja dibandingkan dengan lulusan pendidikan menengah umum kebawah. Pelaksanaan praktik kerja lapangan di Kompetensi Keahlian TITL SMK Negeri 6 Bandung masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dampaknya dikhawatirkan dapat mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh program Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII Kompetensi Keahlian TITL SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan angket kepada 102 sampel, dan data dianalisis secara statistik inferensial menggunakan statistik parametris. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara program praktik kerja lapangan terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII Kompetensi Keahlian TITL di SMK Negeri 6 Bandung yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Asumsi ini dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi kesiapan kerja sebesar 19% ditentukan oleh program praktik kerja lapangan, dan 81% ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Sementara itu untuk besar pengaruhnya berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh Ŷ=50,411+0,462X, karena koefisien regresi bernilai positif (+) yaitu sebesar 0,462 maka dapat diartikan jika nilai PKL bertambah 1, maka nilai kesiapan kerja akan bertambah 0,462 atau semakin meningkat pencapaian indikator PKL, maka semakin meningkat pula kesiapan kerja siswa. Field work practice is a program in vocational secondary education where students go through the process of learning to work in the business/industrial to gain hands-on experience regarding the conditions of the world of work so that students have more mature work readiness. However, in reality it is still difficult for graduates of vocational education to compete in the world of work, this is contrary to the objectives of vocational education which should produce graduates to be more ready to work compared to graduates of general secondary education and below. In the implementation of field work practices in the TITL Skills Competency of SMK Negeri 6 Bandung there are still a number of problems whose impact is feared to affect student work readiness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Field Work Practice program on the work readiness of class XII students of TITL Skills Competency at SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. This study used survey research methods with a quantitative approach, data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 102 samples, and data were analyzed statistically inferentially using parametric statistics. This study resulted in the conclusion that there is a positive and significant influence between the field work practice program on the work readiness of class XII TITL Skills Competency students at SMK Negeri 6 Bandung which is included in the medium category. This assumption is proven by the coefficient of determination of work readiness of 19% determined by field work practice programs, and 81% determined by other factors. Meanwhile, for the magnitude of the effect, based on the results of the simple linear regression test, it is obtained Ŷ=50.411+0.462X, because the regression coefficient is positive (+) which is equal to 0.462. It can be interpreted that if the street vendors' value increases by 1, then the value of work readiness will increase by 0.462 or the achievement increases street vendors indicators, the job readiness of students also increases.
