Abstract

Penelitian dilatar belakangi oleh adanya asumsi terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kecenderungan perilaku bullying. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran konsep diri peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, kecenderungan perilaku bullying peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, serta hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kecenderungan perilaku bullying. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah studi korelasi melalui instrumen berupa kuisioner untuk menilai skala konsep diri dan perilaku bullying. Populasi pada penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, teknik sampling yang yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 192 peserta didik. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri terhadap kecenderungan perilaku bullying peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya dengan keofisien determinasi sebesar 1,1%, artinya variabel konsep diri berpengaruh sebesar 1,1% terhadap munculnya perilaku bullying. The research is motivated by the assumption that there is a relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior tendencies. The purpose of the study was to describe the self-concept description of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, the tendency of bullying behavior in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, and the relationship between self-concept and the tendency of bullying behavior. The method used in this research is a correlation study through an instrument in the form of a questionnaire to assess self-concept and bullying behavior scales. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya, the sampling technique used was random sampling. The sample in the study amounted to 192 students. Analysis of research data using the SPSS application. The result of the research is that there is a relationship between self-concept and the tendency of bullying behavior in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 14 Tasikmalaya with a determination efficiency of 1.1%, meaning that the self-concept variable has an effect of 1.1% on the emergence of bullying behavior.
