Abstract

Pendidikan khusus fokus kepada pengembangan potensi yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing siswa melalui mata pelajaran peminatan yang memberikan life skill kepada siswanya sehingga dapat diimplementasikan di dunia kerja, seperti mata pelajaran peminatan desain grafis. Dalam proses pembelajaran penggunaan media pembelajaran menjadi hal yang sangat penting, seperti yang dikemukakan oleh Hamid pada tahun 2017 bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran akan sangat membantu keefektifan penyampaian materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui bahwa proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran peminatan desain grafis di SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung yang kurang variatif dengan sumber materi yang masih terbatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan rancangan dan respons pengguna terhadap perancangan media pembelajaran berbasis situs web pada pembelajaran desain grafis untuk siswa tunarungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) dengan enam tahap, yaitu konsep, perancangan, pengumpulan bahan, perakitan, uji coba, dan distribusi. Diketahui mayoritas siswa di dalam kelas desain grafis Fase D dapat mendengar suara yang sangat keras di dekat telinganya. Dari hasil pengumpulan informasi dan analisis kebutuhan belajar siswa tunarungu, dilakukan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis situs web menggunakan HTML dan CSS serta pembuatan video tutorial pembelajaran yang berisi penjelasan penggunaan tool pada Adobe Illustrator. Media pembelajaran yang telah dirancang divalidasi oleh ahli media serta ahli materi dan bahasa dengan hasil kriteria skor sangat layak digunakan. Kemudian media pembelajaran diuji cobakan kepada siswa dan mendapatkan kriteria skor sangat layak dengan respons yang baik. Sehingga media pembelajaran digital berbasis situs web yang dirancang dapat menyesuaikan kebutuhan belajar siswa tunarungu untuk dapat mempelajari tool pada Adobe Illustrator. ----- Special education focuses on developing the potential of each student through specialization subjects that provide life skills to students so that they can be implemented in the world of work, such as graphic design specialization subjects. In the learning process the use of learning media is very important, as stated by Hamid in 2017 that the use of learning media will greatly help the effectiveness of delivering learning material. Based on the observation results, it is known that the learning process in graphic design specialization subjects at Cicendo Bandung State SLB is less varied with limited material resources. The purpose of this study is to describe the design and user response to the design of website-based learning media in graphic design learning for deaf students. This study used the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) research method with six stages, namely concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. It is known that the majority of students in a Phase D graphic design class can hear a very loud sound near their ear. From the results of gathering information and analyzing the learning needs of deaf students, a website-based learning media was created using HTML and CSS as well as making a learning video tutorial that contained explanations for using the tools in Adobe Illustrator. Learning media that has been designed are validated by media experts as well as material and language experts with the results of the score criteria being very feasible to use. Then the learning media was tested on students and got very decent score criteria with good responses. So that website-based digital learning media designed can adapt to the learning needs of deaf students to be able to learn tools in Adobe Illustrator.
