Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan kemampuan literasi membaca secara umum yang rendah dan tercantum di rapor pendidikan khususnya jenjang sekolah dasar. Rapor pendidikan merupakan acuan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah pendidikan, salah satunya di jenjang sekolah dasar. Berlandaskan hasil observasi, literasi rendah pada aspek pemahaman membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh yang dihasilkan metode Directed Reading Thinking Activity berbantuan media literasi informasi dan menggambarkan profil kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Serta mendeskripsikan alur pembelajaran menggunakan metode DRTA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen, desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Peneliti menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelas experimen mendapatkan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan metode DRTA berbantuan media literasi informasi sementara kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman yang sedang berlangsung. Respondennya merupakan siswa kelas IV SDN Sukamaju sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN 3 Ciharashas sebagai kelas kontrol, keduanya berlokasi di Kecamatan Ngamprah. Analisis yang telah dilakukan memperoleh beberapa hasil yang dapat disimpulkan menjadi tiga poin utama, Pertama, profil kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas 5 di lokasi penelitian masih rendah. Hal tersebut ditinjau dari rata – rata kemampuan membaca pemahaamn yaitu 49 dan 48 jauh dibawah batas minimal. Hal ini selaras dengan data di rapor pendidikan untuk wilayah Kabupaten Bandung Barat bahwa, kemampuan literasi membaca masih rendah. Kedua, proses pembelajaran DRTA kelas eksperimen melewati dua langkah terakhir dari metode DRTA yaitu membandingkan dan merefleksikan. Simpulan terakhir yaitu, perihal pengaruh yang dihasilkan dari metode DRTA berbantuan media literasi informasi terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman memiliki pengaruh positif. Dibuktikan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,017 lebih kecil dari 0,05 sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan. Artinya, hipotesis penelitian yang berbunyi terdapat pengaruh metode DRTA melalui media literasi informasi terhadap membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar diterima. kata kunci : metode DRTA, membaca pemahaman, media literasi informasi This research is motivated by the problems of reading literacy skills in general are low and listed in the report card, especially primary school level. The Education Report Card is a reference that can be used to identify educational problems, one of which is at the elementary school level. Based on observations, literacy is low in reading comprehension aspects. This study aims to examine the effect of the method of Directed Reading Thinking Activity-based media information literacy and describe the profile of reading comprehension skills. And describe the flow of learning using the method of DRTA. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of quasi-experimental research, design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Researchers used two classes, experimental and control classes. The experimental class was treated with DRTA method based on media Information Literacy while the control class used ongoing reading comprehension learning. The respondents were fourth grade students of SDN Sukamaju as an experimental class and SDN 3 Ciharashas as a control class, both located in Ngamprah District. The analysis that has been done obtained several results that can be summed up into three main points, first, the reading comprehension ability profile of Grade 5 students at the research site is still low. It is reviewed from the average ability to read pemahaamn IE 49 and 48 far below the minimum limit. This is in line with the data in the Education Report Card for the West Bandung Regency area that, reading literacy skills are still low. Second, the learning process of the experimental class passes through the last two steps of the DRTA method, namely comparing and reflecting. The last conclusion is about the influence of DRTA method based on media Information Literacy on the ability to read comprehension has a positive influence. Proven by the value of Asymmp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.017 is less than 0.05 as a basis for decision making.
