Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini didasari pada temuan data mengenai rendahnya kemampuan perencanaan karier siswa pada usia remaja. Permasalahan ini didukung oleh temuan data yang diambil melalui instrument perencanaan karier yang menujukkan bahwa rata-rata siswa kelas X MAN 2 Karawang memiliki kemampuan perencanaan di katagori cukup atau kurang optimal. Rendahnya kemampuan perencanaan siswa disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kesiapan, kesadaran hingga pemahaman diri dan lingkungannya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji efektifitas program bimbingan dan konseling terhadap peningkatan kemampuan perencanaan karier siswa kelas X MAN 2 Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen kuasi dan hasil instrumen pre-pos tes menjadi data utama. Instrumen perencanaa karir merupakan hasil adaptasi dan pengembangan dari Angela dan Dillard. Partisipan dalam penelitian iniadalah kelas X MAN 2 Karawang tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil pengolahan data menujukkan bahwa program bimbingan dan konseling memiliki nilai Hedge g=3538 dannilai uji Mann�Whitney kurang dari 0.05 yang berarti bahwa program bimbingan dan konseling memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perencanaan karier siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk guru bimbingan konseling dan peneliti selanjutnya mengenai kemampuan perencanaan karier sisiwa Kata Kunci: Program Bimbingan Karier, Konseling Karir, Perencanaan Karier ABSTRACT This research is based on data findings regarding the low ability of students’career planning in their teens. This problem is supported by the findings of the data taken through the career planning instrument, which showed that the average class 10th student of MAN 2 Karawang had the ability planning skills in the category of adequate or less than optimal. The low planning ability of students was caused by several factors such as readiness and awareness of understanding themselves and their environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of a reality-based career guidance program in improving the career planning skills of tenth graders of MAN 2 Karawang. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and the pre-post test results as the main data. Career planning instrument had been adapted and developed by Angela and Dillard. The participants in this research were class 10th MAN 2 Karawang in the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of data showed that the curry guidance program has a Hedge value of g = 3538, and the Mann- Whitney test value isless than 0.05, which meaned that the guidance and counseling program had effective influence to improve students' career planning abilities. The results of this study could be used for guidance and counselling teachers and further researchers regarding to students' career planning skills.
