Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen pada anak usia 6 tahun di Lembaga PAUD X di Kec. Soreang Kab. Bandung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Nonequivalent (Pre-test and Post Test) Control Grup Design yang penelitiannya memiliki dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh interctive story reading terhadap membaca permulaan pada anak usia dini. Data mengenai kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak diperoleh dari lembar observasi yang dilakukan sebelum diberikan perlakuan (Pretest) dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan (Post test). Lembar observasi yang disusun mengacu pada Permendikbud No. 137 Tahun 2013 yang kemudian dikembangkan kembali oleh peneliti. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dipilih peneliti adalah Sampling purposive yaitu teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan pertimbangan peneliti dengan kata lain sampel tidak dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata hasil prestest anak sebelum diberikan perlakuan menggunakan media interactive story reading sebesar 22.57 dan rata-rata hasil post test sebesar 33.00. Kemudian setelah dilakukan perhitungan uji T diperoleh hasil Sig sebesar 0.00< 0,05 dengan hasil t hitung sebesar -16.058 < 1.934. Hal ini menunjukan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan post test. Yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna terhadap perbedaan perlakuan yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh peninggkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan treatment atau perlakuan dengan media interactive story reading. ------ This study is a quasi-experimental study in children aged 6 years at the PAUD X Institute in Soreang Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The method used is the Nonequivalent (Pre�test and Post Test) Control Group Design whose research has two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of interactive story reading on the pre-reading ability in early childhood. Data on pre-reading ability in children were obtained from sheets of observation conducted before the treatment as a Pretest and after the treatment as a Posttest. The observation sheet compiled referred to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 137 of 2013 which was later redeveloped by the researcher. The sampling technique chosen by the researcher was purposive sampling, which is a technique for determining the sample based on the researcher’s consideration; in other words the sample is not chosen at random. The research results showed that students’ average pretest score before the treatment using interactive story reading media was 22.57 and the average posttest score was 33.00. And then after the T test calculation, the Sig of 0.00 < 0.05 with the t count of -16,058 < 1.934 was obtained. This shows a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest. It means that there is a significant effect on the difference in treatment applied to the experimental class. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect on the increase in children’s early reading before and after receiving treatment using the interactive story reading media.
