Abstract

Permasalahan terkait dengan pencemaran air termasuk ke dalam permasalahan lingkungan yang cukup banyak terjadi pada masyarakat dan masih belum bisa terpecahkan. Jika permasalahan tersebut tidak segera diatasi maka kelestarian ekosistem di bumi akan terancam. Oleh karena itu dalam setiap pembelajaran, mulai dari sekolah dasar perlu pengembangan pembelajaran yang menuntut siswa bukan hanya sekedar memahami materi pembelajaran saja tetapi dapat menerapkan konsep materi yang diberikan dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Maka dilakukanlah penelitian pre-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran RADEC terhadap penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa kelas V mengenai pencemaran air, dan untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran RADEC mengenai pencemaran air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa adanya peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran RADEC mengenai pencemaran air. Problems related to water pollution are included in environmental problems that occur quite a lot in the community and still cannot be solved. If these problems are not immediately addressed, the sustainability of ecosystems on earth will be threatened. Therefore, in every learning, starting from elementary school, it is necessary to develop learning that requires students not only to understand the learning material but to be able to apply the concepts of the material provided in solving a problem. So, a pre-experimental research was conducted with a one-group pretest-posttest design research design which aims to determine the implementation of RADEC learning on the mastery of concepts and problem solving skills of fifth grade students regarding water pollution, and to determine the mastery of concepts and problem solving skills of students before and after RADEC learning about water pollution. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an increase in students' mastery of concepts and problem solving skills before and after RADEC learning about water pollution.
