Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam bercerita. Masih banyak siswa yang merasa kurang dalam pembelajaran bercerita kurang berani berbicara di depan kelas. Dengan demikian, dalam menggunakan model Think Pair and Share diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1). kemampuan siswa dalam berbicara sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share; 2). kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share; dan 3). Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berbicara siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain yang digunakan one group pre-test dan post-test. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 15 Bandung tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 30 siswa, 20 perempuan dan 10 laki-laki dengan instrumen hasil tes siswa. Tekniknya adalah teknik tes. Hasil penelitian adalah, 1). kemampuan siswa dalam bercerita sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share; 2). kemampuan bercerita siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share; dan 3). Perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan bercerita siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share berdasarkan uji parametrik (uji-t), bahwa nilai signifikansi (sig. 2-tailed) adalah 0,000 < 0,05, maka H1 diterima atau H0 ditolak. Artinya hipotesis diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 15 Bandung tahun ajaran 2021/2022 sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share. There are still many students who feel that they are lacking in learning storytelling and are not brave enough to speak in front of the class. Thus, in using the Think Pair and Share model, it is expected to be able to overcome the problems faced by students. This study aims to describe: 1). students' ability to storytelling before using the Think Pair and Share learning model; 2). students' storrytelling ability after using the Think Pair and Share learning model; and 3). There is a significant difference between students' storytelling ability before and after using the Think Pair and Share learning model. In this study, quantitative analysis was used with a quasi-experimental method with a one group pre-test and post-test design. The data sources in this study were students of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 15 Bandung in the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 30 students, 20 girls and 10 boys with student test results as instruments. The technique is a test technique. The results of the study are, 1). students' ability to speak before using the Think Pair and Share learning model; 2). students' speaking ability after using the Think Pair and Share learning model; and 3). Significant difference between students' storytelling ability before and after using Think Pair and Share learning model based on parametric test (t-test), that the significance value (sig. 2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, then H1 is accepted or H0 is rejected. This means that the hypothesis is accepted. This proves that there is a significant difference between the speaking ability of students of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 15 Bandung in the academic year 2021/2022 before and after using the Think Pair and Share learning model.
