Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh Penggunaan Google Classroom pada pembelajaran IPS, Google Classroom merupakan sebuah layanan yang berbasis internet yang disediakan oleh Google sebagai sistem E-Learning untuk pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Rancangan pembelajaran IPS, menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS, menganalisis Respon siswa saat pembelajaran IPS, dan menganalisis hambatan dan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan Google Classrrom. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, angket dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa persiapan awal yang dilakukan guru IPS sebelum pembelajaran guru menyiapkan materi, Power Point, media yang akan disampaikan sesuai silabus dan kurikulum 2013 yang di pakai sebagai bahan ajar di sekolah tersebut. dalam pelaksanaa pembelajaran terdapat 48,5% siswa dirasa cukup baik ketika melakukan pembelajaran, 39,45 % siswa lebih mudah mengerti dan memahami materi ketika pembelajaran berlangsung, sebagian lagi siswa terkendala pada jaringan saat mengikuti pembelajaran. Mengenai respon siswa sendiri saat menggunakan Google Classroom terdapat 60,6% siswa sangat baik ketika mengikuti pembelajaran tepat waktu dengan menggunakan Zoom Meeting dan siswa pun mampu menjawab materi yang disampaikan, tugas tidak terlambat dan siswa selalu bertanya terkait materi yang belum dipahami kepada guru yang bersangkutan. dalam mengatasi kendala saat pembelajaran IPS yaitu dengan memberikan materi Power Point yang dikirimkan ke Google Classroom yang apabila siswa terkendala oleh jaringan internet maka siswa bisa mengikuti pembelajaram dengan mendowload materi di Google Classroom. The background of this research is the use of Google Classroom in Social Science learning. Google Classroom is internet-based service provided by Google. The aims of this research are to describe the of Social Science learning. This research utilizes the descriptive-qualitative method by using Purposive Sampling. In collecting the data, this research conducts the instruments such as observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation-study. The findings of this research indicate that the teacher prepares the material, PowerPoint, and the according to the syllabus and 2013 curriculum before the learning process. In the implementation of Social Science learning, there are 48,5% of students are quite good in the learning process, 39,45% of students find it easier to understand the material, and some students are constrained by the network when participating in the learning process. Regarding the students’ responses when using Google Classroom, there are 60,6% of students who are excellent when participating in the lesson on time using Zoom Meeting and students can answer the delivered material, and students always ask questions regarding the material that has not been understood to the teacher. In overcoming the obstacles during Social Science learning, the teacher uploads PowerPoint material to Google Classroom, if the students have problems in the network, they can follow the learning by downloading the material in Google Classroom. In conclusion, the use of Google Classroom in preparing the learning process is the teacher prepares the lesson plan and the material based on the syllabus. In the learning process, there are students who have several obstacles, so the students have to review the material with the teacher. The students also have obstacles in submitting the assignment, so when their parents use the mobile phone, the students cannot submit the assignment on time from the date that has been determined by the teacher.
