Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected all lines of life, including the field of education. The implementation of academic supervision activities is carried out with full limitations as a result of this pandemic period. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of academic supervision carried out by school principals at the Post PAUD institution as a strategic effort in improving the quality of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. This research was conducted at 3 PAUD Pos institutions in Antapani District, namely Dahlia Sari PAUD Pos institutions, Tunas Mandiri PAUD Posts and Tulip PAUD Pos institutions. The participants who were used as research samples were 3 principals and 3 teachers. Collecting data using semi-structured interviews using interview guidelines, observation and documentation. Data analysis used thematic data analysis. The results of the study showed that the implementation of academic supervision in the three PAUD Postal institutions was going quite well. This can be seen from the implementation of online supervision through daily discussions, direct observation and supervision in the classroom when teachers conduct online learning activities, by providing guidance to teachers, helping teachers find solutions to problems that arise during learning activities during the pandemic, but planning supervision still needs to be improved. This is done as a strategic effort to create quality education.
