Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penerapan pendekatan Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik, Taktil (VAKT) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan artikulasi Anak dengan Hambatan Pendengaran di SLB B Sumber Sari Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A pada subjek siswa Anak dengan Hambatan Pendengaran kelas V yang memiliki kemampuan artikulasi yang belum cukup baik. Intervensi dilakukan dengan melakukan pelatihan artikulasi dengan pendekatan Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik, Taktil (VAKT). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes lisan pada 3 fase (Baseline-1, intervensi, dan baseline-2). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis antar kondisi dan analisis dalam kondisi. Penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik dengan melihat hasil perubahan kemampuan artikulasi siswa pada fase baseline-1 (A1), intervensi (B) dan baseline-2 (A2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendekatan Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik, Taktil (VAKT) mampu memberikan pengaruh yang positif dalam kemampuan artikulasi siswa. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya kenaikan pada mean level dari fase baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 31.6%, mean level pada fase intervensi (B) sebesar 52,8% dan mean level pada fase baseline-2 (A2) sebesar 69,5%. Kemudian didukung juga dengan persentase overlap yang rendah pada kedua antar kondisi yaitu 20%, rendahnya persentase overlap menunjukkan adanya perubahan kondisi pada siswa. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik, Taktil (VAKT) dapat memberikan pengaruh positif pada kemampuan artikulasi anak dengan hambatan pendengaran, pendekatan Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik, Taktil (VAKT) juga dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan artikulasi. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan VAKT, Kemampuan Artikulasi, Anak dengan Hambatan Pendengaran ABSTRACT The goal of this research is to test the application of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) approaches to improving the articulation ability of Children with Hearing Impairment at SLB B Sumber Sari Bandung. The research method used here is Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B-A design in the subject of Children with Hearing Impairment grade V who have articulation skills that are not good enough. Intervention has been done by doing the articulation training based on Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) approaches. Data gathered through oral test in 3 phases (Baseline-1, Intervention, Baseline-2). Data analyzed by using between-conditions and within-condition analysis. Data presented in table and graph by looking at the change of student achievement on baseline 1 (A1), Intervention (B), and baseline 2 (A2) phases. The research show that Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) approaches is able to give positive effects on student articulation ability. It is proven by the increase on mean level from 31,6% on baseline 1(A1) phase, 58,2% on intervention (B) phase, and then to 69,5% on baseline 2 (A2) phase. It is complemented by a low overlap of 20% on both between-conditions. Low percentage of overlap indicates a changes of conditions in student. Based on the data, we can conclude that Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) approaches can give positive effects on articulation ability of student with hearing impairment, Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) approaches also can be used as an altenative in implementation of articulation training.
