Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, pola asuh keluarga bugis dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter anak usia dini. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang berlokasi di Desa. Tongkoseng, Kecamatan Bombana, Kabupaten Bombana, Provensi Sulawesi Tenggara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 orang tua yang bersuku Bugis. Data yang diperoleh di analissi menggunakan model tematik yang meliputi pengumpulan data, menyajikan data, kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pola asuh keluarga Bugis dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter anak usia dini merupakan (1) Pengasuhan yang dilakukan oleh keluarga Bugis bagi anak usia dini yang dilakukan oleh orang tua di desa Tongkoseng dalam melaksanakan pola asuh anak tersirat komponen nilai yang diterapkan keluarga Bugis diantaranya: a.) Nilai tanggung jawab, b.) Nilai toleransi, c.) Nilai kejujuran , dan d.) Nilai siri (rasa malu). 2.) Nilai-nilai karakter anak dalam keluarga Bugis yaitu kedua orang tua mengenalkan nilai-nilai karakter luhur kepada anak. (3.) ciri khas keunggulan pengasuhan keluarga Bugis terdiri dari: a.) mapatabee. b.) Mapuang, c.) Melempuh, d.) Asabbareng, dan e.) Padanna ripancaji. (4.) Faktor yang pengaruh kelemahan pengasuhan di keluarga Bugis terdiri dari: a.) Faktor ekonomi, b.) Faktor pendidikan dan c.) Faktor usia perkawinan. Rekomendasi pertama dalam peneliti ini ditujukan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk dapat memperluas subjek penelitian, selanjutnya rekomendasi kedua ditujukan kepada orang tua diharapkan lebih memperhatikan tipe pola asuh yang diterapkan serta memahami dampak buruk dan baiknya bagi anak. Kata kunci: pola asuh orang tua, penanaman nilai-nilai karakter, keluarga Bugis POLA ASUH KELUARGA BUGIS DALAM PENANAMAN NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER ANAK UASIA DINI SALMIATI 1802534 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the parenting style of the Bugis family in inculcating character values for early childhood. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study method located in the Tongkoseng village, Bombana District, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Data collection techniques were done by interviews. The participants in this study were 10 parents of Buginese ethnicity. The data obtained were analyzed using a thematic model which includes data collection, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that the Buginese families’ parenting patterns in inculcating the character values of early childhood are: (1) Parenting carried out by the Buginese families for early childhood by parents in the Tongkoseng village in implementing the parenting pattern implied by the value component applied by the Buginese family which include: a.) The value of responsibility, b.) The value of tolerance, c.) The value of honesty, and d.) The value of siri (shame). 2.) Character values of children in Buginese families which were introduced by parents are the noble character values to the children. (3.) the hallmarks of excellence in Buginese families’ cares consist of: a.) Mapatabee. b.) Mapuang, c.) Paralyzed, d.) Asabbareng, and e.) Padanna ripancaji. (4.) the factors that influence parenting weaknesses in Buginese families consist of: a.) Economic factors, b.) Educational factors and c.) Age of marriage. Thus, the first recommendation in this study for the further researchers is to be able to expand the research subject, and the second recommendation is addressed to the parents who are expected to pay more attention to the type of parenting style applied and understand the bad and good impacts for the children.
