Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan pandangan bahwa pengetahuan guru mengenai kesetaraan gender di PAUD belum diketahui secara jelas sumber pengetahuan dan kendala yang dialaminya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengetahuan guru mengenai kesetaraan gender dan faktor penyebab yang memengaruhi pengetahuan guru di PAUD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi. Partisipan yang menjadi narasumber pada penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang, dengan nama samarannya yaitu Karina (31 tahun), Dini (58 tahun), Susi (52 tahun), Diajeng (40 tahun), dan Aisyah (43 tahun). Peneliti memperoleh data dari hasil wawancara. Kemudian menganalisis data dengan memahami data terlebih dahulu, dilanjutkan dengan menyusun kode, mencari tema dan menghasilkan 3 tema yaitu pengertian gender dan kesetaraan gender, bentuk dan sumber pengetahuan gender, sumber informaasi tentang pengetahuan kesetaraan gender, dan kendala dalam pelaksanan kesetaraan gender di PAUD. Dalam hasil penelitian terungkap bahwa masih terdapat kurangnya pemahaman mengenai gender, internet menjadi sumber informasi pengetahuan dalam kesetaraan gender, namun kurang pelatihan dan cara penyampaian yang sulit kepada anak masih jadi kendala yang dirasakan oleh guru di PAUD dalam mengenalkan kesetaraan gender di PAUD. Peneliti merekomendasikan penelitian selanjutnya membahas pengetahuan guru mengenai kesetaraan gender dari sudut pandang agama Islam dan budaya. The background of the research is motivated that teacher knowledge about gender equality in early childhood education not clearly known source of knowledge and the problem. The purpose of the research was to determine teacher knowledge about gender equality and the causal factors that influence teacher knowledge in early childhood education. The study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological research methods. Participants who became resource persons in this research amounted to 5 people, with a pseudonym is Karina (31 years), Dini (58 years), Susi (52 years), Diajeng (40 years), and Aisyah (43 years). Researchers obtained data from interviews. Then analyze the data by understanding the data first, followed by compiling codes, looking for themes and producing 3 themes, namely understanding gender and gender equality, forms and sources of gender knowledge, sources of information about gender equality knowledge, and obstacles in implementing gender equality in early childhood education. The results of the study revealed that there is still a lack of understanding about gender, the internet as a source of information on gender equality, but lack of training and difficult delivery methods for children are still obstacles experienced by teachers in early childhood in introducing gender equality. The researcher recommends further research to discuss teachers' knowledge of gender equality from the point of view of Islam and culture.
