Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis persepsi siswa tentang keterampilan berkomunikasi guru, (2) mengukur tingkat motivasi siswa dalam belajar, (3) memverifikasi apakah terdapat hubungan antara persepsi siswa tentang keterampilan berkomunikasi guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode korelasional. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah persepsi siswa tentang keterampilan berkomunikasi guru, dan variabel terikat adalah motivasi belajar siswa. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah SD di gugus 44 Kecamatan Andir, Kota Bandung, dengan sampel sejumlah 125 siswa kelas IV dan V di SD Mutiara dan SD Windu Putra. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang dibagikan melalui whatsApp group dalam bentuk google form. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan analisis korelasi bivariate. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan: (1) siswa yang memiliki persepsi tentang keterampilan berkomunikasi guru sangat tinggi sebesar 48%, yang memiliki persepsi tinggi sebesar 36%, yang memiliki persepsi sedang sebesar 12.8%, yang memiliki persepsi rendah sebesar 2.4%, dan yang memiliki persepsi sangat rendah sebesar 0.8 %, (2) siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar sangat tinggi sebesar 51.2%, yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi sebesar 34.4%, yang memiliki motivasi belajar sedang sebesar 12.8%, yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah sebesar 0.8%, dan yang memiliki motivasi belajar sangat rendah sebesar 0.8%, (3) terdapat hubungan arah positif sedang antara persepsi siswa tentang keterampilan berkomunikasi guru dengan motivasi belajar dengan nilai r sebesar 0.570, nilai thitung > ttabel (8.755 > 1.979) dengan signifikansi 0.05, dengan demikian persepsi siswa terhadap keterampilan berkomunikasi guru berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. ----- This study aims to: (1) analyze students' perceptions of teachers' communication skills, (2) measure the level of student motivation in learning, (3) verify whether there is a correlation between students' perceptions of teachers' communication skills and students' learning motivation. This research uses a quantitative approach, with a correlational method. The independent variable of this research is the students' perception of the teacher's communication skills, and the dependent variable is the students' learning motivation. The population of this research is elementary school in cluster 44 Andir District, Bandung City, with a sample of 125 fourth and fifth grade students at Mutiara Elementary School and Windu Putra Elementary School. Data collection uses a questionnaire distributed through whatsApp group in the form of a google form. Data analysis used normality test, homogeneity test, and bivariate correlation analysis. The results of this research show: (1) students who have very high perceptions of teacher communication skills are 48%, those who have high perceptions are 36%, those who have moderate perceptions are 12.8%, who have low perceptions are 2.4%, and those who have low perceptions are very low at 0.8%, (2) students who have very high learning motivation are 51.2%, who have high learning motivation are 34.4%, who have moderate learning motivation are 12.8%, who have low learning motivation are 0.8%, and who have learning motivation is very low are 0.8%, (3) there is a moderate positive correlation between students' perceptions of teacher communication skills and learning motivation with an r value of 0.570, tcount > ttable (8.755 > 1.979) with a significance of 0.05, thus students' perceptions of teacher's communication skills affect students' learning motivation.
